This one of the best charanga albums that I have ever heard. It will also please any true salsa fan or dancer, since charanga is basically like salsa, but with added instruments (violin & flute) that give it MORE flavor than your average salsa style.As far as the album goes, I have been impressed the most by its consistency; every song is outstanding. They also experiment with Mexican ranchero music on "Amor En Guadalajara," and do a revamped mosaic of some of their older hits...these touches give the album a sense of variety. The style of this album is undisputedly upbeat and danceable. This is definitely the album to play at a party; but due to the high quality of the music, it is also great to listen to in your car (surely never leaves mine). These veterans have definitely not lost their touch. Anyone who is a true Latin music aficionado NEEDS to get this! |
