K-Gr 2--The Celebrate 100 Kit is a compilation of materials useful to classrooms marking the 100th day of school. This concept supports the Mathematics Their Way (Addison-Wesley) program often used as a daily counting and calendar activity in early elementary classrooms. The audiocassette has three segments: a five-minute story, "Henry Hooper and the 100 Hiccups," with 22 repetitions of the word 100; a 100 word poem called "100 Is a Lot!"; and a 100th day song, written to the tune of "When Johnny Comes Marching Home Again." Also included in the kit is a copy of the Scholastic paperback, The 100th Day of School, and an extremely well-done teacher's guide of activities and listening center activities using the materials in the kit. Elementary classroom teachers who want to make the 100th day of school a teachable event will find all they need here.
