This guide really brings home the concepts explored in Foster's book on Disciplines. If you're interested in delving into those area in a deeper way, you'll probably enjoy this guide. It actually allows you to go through it several times (which is unusual for these types of guides), personally or in larger groups). I really appreciated it.

"Celebrating the Disciplines" is an excellent companion workbook to "Celebration of Discipline". We are using it in a home group setting and it is stimulating a lot of discussion and taking us beneath the surface of our lives and opening us up to the hidden world we all long to know.

Foster's Disciplines is the standard in the field of the spiritual disciplines. This workbook takes it to the next step with actual practices and helps to really do the spiritual disciplines. a must have if you are serious about practicing the spiritual disciplines.

I got the book used and it was in great condition, there were highlites in it, but I didn't mind
because whoever did it, highlighted the most important parts of the book, it helped me to notice important
statements the book was about.

As a new student at a christian college, I found this workbook very structured offering ideas to help implement the spiritual disciplines. It was also a great compliment to the book "Celebrating the Disciplines"Celebrating the Disciplines: A Journal Workbook to Accompany ``Celebration of Discipline''

This is the first book that our entire churh read together. It is great.

As with several study guides that follow a successful book, it seems more like a way to make more $$ than really be a good guide. It might work as a personal study guide, but for a group it's not good. If you're going to do it personally, just study the book and take notes. Why do you need a guide?
