Celebration Barbie is the 5th collectible African-American Barbie I've purchased for my 1 year old daughter, Genesis. I started an African-American doll collection several before my daughter was born which includes porcelain, cloth and vinyl dolls. I'd hoped to have a daughter to share this collection with and who would have a love of dolls as I do. So far Genesis loves looking (not touching) all her dolls. (I do have inexpensive dolls she may play with.) I believe these dolls will help her to see the beauty of herself so that she will be a positive and confident woman later in life. I really appreciate the fact that the Barbie dolls have African-American features, as opposed to just "painting" the doll brown. I plan on purchasing many more Barbies and would highly recommend them to others.

Oh, how I love this doll! Mattel did an EXCELLENT job on this Asha faced Barbie. Her facial paint is extraordinary. She truly looks like an African American queen. Her gown, jewelry and accessories all compliment her radiant skin tone. I love the ornament that came with the doll. And the packaging is excellent. Mattel has a definite winner with this one.

I bought this doll at a great deal. She is gorgeous. I like her full maroon painted lips, complexion, and nice features. She lasted a long time without her hair coming out of place too much. She is a winner!

I puchased this doll as a collectible for my now eighteen month old daughter. This will be part of her year "2000" articles that I am saving for her. The features on this doll are so beautiful, that I feel every little girl should have one as a reminder of the beauty in all of us.

This doll is absolutely beautiful! I cannot really rate it because I am not even taking it out of the package, but I am very impressed with its beauty!

I bought this for my 4 year old niece, SHE LOVED IT!! My sister was less the thrilled that she opened the box before her nap, and would not sleep.

I am a Native American and had wanted to order a caucasian Barbie which was sold out. I then ordered the African-American Celebration Barbie to join my multi-racial collection which includes Native Americans, Asian, Hispanic and Blonde Barbies. This doll is absolutely Stunning and I am SO glad that I bought her! Her gown is exquisite and the presentation box adds so much to the very reasonable price ... that I plan to order another for my granddaughter. You really can't go wrong with this gorgeous addition to any Barbie Collection!

I was totally disappointed with my purchase. The doll was in good condition but the box was very worn. My dolls are for display, and to give to my grandchildren when they are older for their collection. I display in their box, and the box was a taped up mess, not just the bottom missing. Therefore, the doll is not good for my collection. My fault for not reading well, I want new items and I will be more careful on future purchases.

This is my first time on the internet to order Xmas presents for my Grand daughter and I decided Dolls would be my first items.
I saw this Doll and was amazed how Beautiful and Elegant she appeared. I instantly knew i had to give this to my Grand Dauighter (who i might add, " Loves" Barbie dolls).
When i kept reading your write up i knew that the price had to be a misprint but to read that the doll was Discontinued was a very Sad Disappointment. Why is the Doll listed?
Why would you stop making such a Lovely Doll? This doll should be in your Classic collection.

I purchased 8 of these for girls on my Xmas list and I am sure they will love them. The online picture does not do them justice. I thought they were so beautiful, I ended up keeping one for myself.
