I play the piano in church, and this hymnal offers some easier-to-play versions of some of the favorite hymns. I especially like their version of "His Eye Is on the Sparrow" and "I'd Rather Have Jesus". It's also larger print and offers a huge selection. I'm very thankful that I found this hymnal.

This is a great hymnal for anyone wanting a nice blend of traditional and contemporary songs of the church. While it may not have the latest contemporary songs that have become popular among many Christians, this is still a nice hymnal for blended worship.

We visited my sister's church today and this was the hymnal they used. I leafed through it and was very pleasantly surprised that I saw many favorite hymns in it. I came home and bought it for personal use. Many of these songs are ones that I learned and loved in the Baptist church growing up. I look forward to having it in my home!

Great price for a classic hymnal of inspiring Christian songs. Item is exactly the same ones we use in church.

If I had to pick only one book to bring to play in a church service, it would be this one hands down. No contest. This is the best and most versatile hymnal I have ever used. It has all the standard traditional hymns that people expect, and so many of the modern fun choruses that make the worship experience appealing. The hymns are crisp, all in the same font, easy to play and it has literally saved my tush many times when I had to suddenly "Play something!" to cover or stretch some part of a service.

It also has the keys next to the titles in the index which makes it super easy to find songs in the same key for seamless transitions.

I currently play for an Episcopal deep old school traditional style church. I have played for the Southern Baptist traditional/old fashioned congregations, a Southern style black congregation, and the typical contemporary non-denominational church band. This hymnal is hands down the best and most useful book for congregational worship I have ever used.

(I have had a copy of it stolen, so I usually take it home with me - if that tells you anything about the book!)

Amazing Grace (modulates from one sharp to 4 flats - beautiful arrangement)

This is such a great hymnal. It's full of familiar favorite hymn tunes as well as praise choruses and more contemporary songs. There are also responsive readings and passages which a worship leader or pastor could use for introducing a hymn or chorus. For the choir director, there are many medleys in the book so some of the songs could be used by the choir as an easy anthem, along with special "choral endings" that vary the song a bit. A great resource!

We recently purchased 100 copies of this hymnal for our Church. We love them and the 4 for the price of 3 was a huge help with the budget. Thank you so much.

I already own this hymnal and I bought one for a good friend as a Christmas gift. It has a vast amount of the older hymns and some newer ones. It is a book that I will always treasure and is a blessing in my spiritual growth. I highly recommend this book for both individual and church use.

We use this hymnal several times a week during family worship. I find that the song selection tends toward early 20th Century hymns and later choruses. That is the music with which most evangelicals have grown up, so it makes sense why this hymnal seems common in those types of churches.
