I just recently heard this CD and it was a great re-do of all of John Denver's best songs. The sound quality is rich and full and it sounds as if he's right there in the room. The solo acoustic rendition of "Perhaps Love" is beautiful. The liner notes state that he recorded these songs in 1996, they're not just re-recordings. It's great to hear his "older" voice singing the "younger" songs. I would recommend it highly to any John Denver fan!

I must say I am very impressed with this collection very well done.Even the non fans should like this one.I am not a big Denver fan,but I when I picked this CD up I have an interest in listening to more of his music.I like the sad songs like love again and I'm sorry.I would recomend this album highly.WORTH MORE THAN 5 STARS.

I am a John Denver Fan. I have most of his CD's. This is my favorite. If you only want one John Denver album, make this the one. It was recorded later in his career and his voice is matured, and, well just better. Enjoy!

The Unplugged Collection album was also done in 1996 and has all of these songs, plus a few more. I think this is a repackaging of the same songs, based on the other reviews.

Though I had heard John Denver's music before, this is the first CD of his that I'd ever purchased. The music is beautiful and I listened to it over and over when I first got it. It will continue to be one of my favorites...especially his "Perhaps Love."
