While most Americans knew him as the bumbling Inspector Clouseau, Peter Sellers was making a series of British comedy recordings, which this 4-CD set collects in toto . Included are all the classic bits from the legendary Goon Show period, the Sinatra spoof Songs for Swingin' Sellers , the first Peter and Sophia album (with Sophia Loren), and Sellers' hilarious take on the Beatles, with three unreleased tracks! Also inside: a book packed with pictures and info about his recording career.

This 4 disc CD set has EVERYTHING Peter Sellers did on record.....well mostly. My only complaint is the omission of his version of "She Loves You" done in the style of 'Dr. Strangelove'. WHY would they leave that off when EVERYTHING ELSE is there??? Then again, we DO get 3 'other' versions of 'She Loves You', so it sort of makes up for it.
GREAT photos [one of the best is with Sophia, Peter and producer George Martin!] and original EMI/Parlophone sleeve art.
Peter Sellers, like it or not, was most-likely the funniest, versatile & hippest comedian ever! Like he said of himself as Harold Fine [in the film 'I LOVE YOU, ALICE B. TOKLAS'-1968]; "Listen -- I'm probably the HIPPEST guy around here!!"
In 1980 we lost two great entertainers; Peter Sellers & John Lennon.

This CD Box is a must for every Peter Sellers' fan. It Contains 4 CDs and a marvellous booklet with some rare pictures. Some of the CD tracks are absolutely unfindble, even in Internet.
