5.0 out of 5 stars Great information
Here's a great book for our generation (over 50). The print is large enough to read and I didn't have to wade through a lot of information that didn't apply. The authors have included a wealth of medical information - needed for those of us whose bodies aren't young, agile and consistently performing at peak. Most of all, I appreciated the focus on the soul of sex as well...

1.0 out of 5 stars Too much God and religion for me
I did not realize this book was directed towards Christian, married sex. If you are then you might enjoy it. I was turned off early by biblical references and "god" approved sexual relations.

4.0 out of 5 stars A True Celebration, July 25, 2011
When I shared this book with a friend, she asked, "A Christian book about the celebration of sex at any age? How's that work?"

Who better to write a book about this subject than for and about Christians? Granted, I've not always been the best example in every area of life, but I have learned that true, meaningful sex involves the spirit, mind, and body...and all the senses. True lovemaking has to be centered on truth and trust. And when it is, it can be mind-blowing and lasting.

There are several great books about senior sex out there that touch on the religious element. This one and Seasoned Romance are two of the best at explaining the spirit, mind, and body dimension (though Seasoned Romance doesn't purport itself to be Christian, it does include several interviews that mention the role of faith and belief).

So, regardless of where you are coming from, religion-wise, it's definitely time to celebrate true love and lovemaking!

5.0 out of 5 stars Celebrating Sex at Any Age, September 8, 2011
I just turned 51 and am now single. For anyone turning my age or older, this is a wonderful, hope-giving book!

The same person who pointed me to this awesome book told me about Seasons of the Heart: Men and Women Talk About Love, Sex, and Romance After 60, as well as Seasoned Romance, Book One: Ten surprising interviews with age 60-plus men and women who reveal candid, often-intimate details about their secrets for loving, long-term relationships (Volume 1).

Before reading these books, I'm afraid I was on the brink of buying into the idea that seniors often reach the point that sex isn't worth the bother.

That has changed for me. I look forward to having a satisfying sex life in later years. And I appreciate the authors that I've mentioned in helping me to be hopeful!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Info for People of All Faiths, August 1, 2011
There is a lot of God and religion in A CELEBRATION OF SEX AFTER 50, which seems natural, considering that it is published by Thomas Nelson. Maybe the author or publishers, to keep from offending anyone, should put the LOOK INSIDE THE BOOK info available.

I don't find the mention of faith offensive. As I mentioned in my comments to Honolulu Lulu, I think it comes across as a natural part of life in books like this and SEASONED ROMANCE. I'm actually glad for that added dimension, but maybe that's just me.
