I bought these to put in paper lanterns for my wedding... They were a big hit... The flasing option makes it even better.

Don't waste your money on these lites. They went out after a couple of hours- I used new brand name batteries. I bought four sets to use on a couple of very small trees inside the house and only wanted to have them lit for Christmas day and I was very disappointed. I would send them back if I still had the boxes----not worth the price of the shipping anyway.

Bought this to go on the wreath hanging on my front door and it barely was long enough to go around it. Takes 2 C batteries and only lasted a couple hours before dying. It is trash!

Needless to say these were returned. Although not mentioned in product description, item is flagged with warning labels stating "warning: toxic materials, wash hands after handling". Must be the plastic. Not a good thing to have in a house with children and pets. Amazon customer service awesome as always, return process took maybe two minutes, picked up by ups next business day, all i had to do was pack them back in the box and tape it up.

We got a couple of sets of these lights for our small Christmas tree this year. They looked great, but by the third night of having them on for a couple of hours a night, one set of batteries was dead and the other was pretty low, leaving the lights pretty dim. Not sure I want to keep buying four C-cell batteries every couple of nights, I think I'll go back to plug-in lights.

Also, another review mentioned the "flashing option". The lights that I received did not have any flashing option (and also came in a different box than the one that is pictured, but were from Celebrations).
