5.0 out of 5 stars Busy Mother Raises Money
I have used the Celebrity Black book for years. I am the mother of a disabled child and need to raise money for medical treatment twice a year. Since my son has multiple disabilities we do all of his therapy at home and he is completely home schooled. So I don't have a lot of time. I find the Celebrity Black Book pays for itself. 1.0 out of 5 stars A Costly Disappointment
This book chiefly gives out agents' addresses for almost all celebrities. It is not a good reference book for autograph collectors or the curious. What this book is is an expensive, thick reference containing addresses for all the talent and publicity firms in Los Angeles and New York! Use Google or your library!

5.0 out of 5 stars Busy Mother Raises Money, January 28, 2009

I have used the Celebrity Black book for years. I am the mother of a disabled child and need to raise money for medical treatment twice a year. Since my son has multiple disabilities we do all of his therapy at home and he is completely home schooled. So I don't have a lot of time. I find the Celebrity Black Book pays for itself. I use it after my son goes to bed and find it helpful to highlight through names as I send letters to people. That way I don't duplicate my efforts. I can also bring the book and my laptop as we travel to work on my son's fundraisers on the road or while waiting on doctor's appointments. The only problem I have had with the book is once in a while you will get an address for someone who has passed on. So I always check with wikipedia if I am not sure, rather to send a letter. Good luck to others raising money for all the good causes out there.

Google does exist and the address in this book are mostly c/o to agents and the like. And unless you have some mighty strange stalking expedition planned, who would need more than a handful of these addresses for any marketing campaign or request for endorsement? Use it at the library, or just do a search online.

Awesome book! I order a new edition every 2 years. I'm always extremely satisfied. It is definitely worth the money I spend for it!

This book purports to have my address in it, and it's years out of date. Can't imagine why anyone would pay money for this kind of thing when online resources are more accurate.
