I thought this book was awesome and I can't wait to read the next one in the series. It was well written and a very good mystery. Don't know what the first review is talking about. This is a GREAT teen book and you won't be disappointed.

I LOVED this book! It was funny, witty and outrageously believable considering the headlines we read today. How Britney, Lindsay + the Paris Hiltons grace the covers of gossip tabloids and blogs everywhere. So funny + clever. You get a sneak peek into the life they live and drama they deal with and in my favorite city. NYC.

Awesome mystery with a FASHIONABLE twist!,

Oh My God! What a totally amazing book! I love mysteries and I love fashion and The Celebutantes: On The Avenue brings these two worlds together so well! And it's really funny too. What I also love about the characters Madison, Park and Lexington is that they are smart girls with a sense of fashion. They wear their Manolo Blahniks and they use their brains. The Celebutantes: On The Avenue takes the reader on a fashion filled crime solving spree! I so hope they make a movie out of it. I can't wait for next book In The Club!

I don't know what is up with the 1 star review before mine, but they cannot be more wrong about this book!
The Celebutantes: On the Avenue is filled with fun characters, a bit of romance, and mystery that will keep you guessing until the end. It's the perfect fun book to read this summer. I'm really looking forward to the sequels.

Being a celebutante isn't all it's cracked up to be. Sure, you get to live a very rich lifestyle with all the cool parties, nice clothes, hot dates, and special privileges. But being a suspect in a murder trial does not make being a celebutante worth it.
Triplets Madison, Park, and Lexington Hamilton know this firsthand, and wearing a tight dress with the perfect pumps just won't get them out of this one. A murder has happened at one of the many social events that Madison has organized -- and it isn't very pretty. Well, the scarf tied around fashion editor Zahra Bell isn't, that is. Along with Zahra, the Avenue Diamond, the most prized possession that can work miracles, is gone. Unfortunately, the Hamilton triplets were at the wrong place at the wrong time. Who knew that being discovered in the same closet as the murder victim would automatically make you a suspect? And now, since the police are taking forever to find who the killer is, it's up to the Hamilton triplets to save the day, and their name. There is just one drawback to this investigation. Let's just say that Zahra Bell wasn't the most well-liked person on the universe and anyone could have wanted her dead. And having tons of secrets spilling out that hurts reputations doesn't exactly make things progress faster. But the sisters can't worry about that too much, since their entire wardrobe is on the line, and being the next victim is becoming more and more of a possibility. Take three Nancy Drews and put them into a GOSSIP GIRL situation and what successfully comes out is THE CELEBUTANTES: ON THE AVENUE. Antonio Pagliarulo makes us see that the rich and famous can solve mysteries, too, except in style. With a bond like the Charmed sisters, the Hamilton triplets are literature's newest "It Girls." THE CELEBUTANTES is the series that everyone should keep an eye on. Reviewed by: Randstostipher "tallnlankyrn" Nguyen

I have to admit that when I first looked at book I wasn't sure I was going to like it but I decided not to judge the book by its cover. Overall I enjoyed reading this book, although sometimes I felt the girls were a little bit too shallow the author was able to make them likable... at least for me. If you like mysteries and aren't annoyed by semi shallow characters then this is the book for you.

This book was SO disappointing. cute cover, right? very deceiving. this book was poorly written and the plot was horrendously cheesy and predictable. i found myself rolling my eyes as i was reading this. it is NOT a good teen novel like i thought it was going to be. this was not enjoyable to read, but rather it was painful. save your money!

NOT for young teens,

I read the book after my daughter was telling me about the book she bought with her grandmother in the children's section of a book store! WELL, while the book is cute and full of what grabs todays' young star gazing teens, it is not an appropriate book for young teens. If this were a movie it would be rated R. Maybe someone should review the "young reader" target audience for me.

fairly good read,
This review is from: The Celebutantes: On the Avenue (Paperback)
this book was somewhat well written and the typos were minimal when compared to other books of the same genre. I didnt expect much, as this was a replacement buy when i was at borders. The plot was predictable but it was still a good read. i will probably read the next installment. the author is really good at dialogue, but in some parts of the book it seemed slow. and chicky or whatever his name was seemed to be forced a little bit, did he really need to dress up as a maid, complete with wig, couldnt he just have been dressed as a butler and a man? o well.
