This is an experience of storytelling beyond any I have heard...and I have heard in excess of a hundred storytellers. The versatility of the artist is uncanny with the different kinds of story lines and character portrayals. And for anyone with a metaphysical, spiritual, or mystical orientation, there is plenty of material along those lines as well. Mr Lewis takes the listener from the common everyday experience of a vietnam vet to the passion and heat of the chance meeting of lovers, to the heartwarming friendship of two strangers on a train, and on to the mystical realms. He is absolutely amazing. He touches a place inside me that I have longed to find in the storytelling experience. To have the variety of musical accompaniments as background for the stories is an ingenious idea and only serves to further enhance the depth and breadth of the listener's experience. Whatever circumstance that brought you to this page is a fine example of fate working its magic. Celestial Navigations is, without a doubt, one of the greatest experiences that you will ever have in your life. Buy this CD, lie down, turn off the lights, and be amazed at the places and emotions it will take you to. I have introduced Celestial Navigations to almost every person I know, and 100% have been affected in some way or fashion. I don't know how to adequately describe their mix of storytelling, music, and effects. But I do know that you will be blown away by the compelling stories they weave.

Storytelling has been around for a long time. To hear the words flow from the teller and to become a part of the story they tell is a wonderous feeling. That is what happens when you listen to this album. Every story can be woven in to one's life in some way. "The Intersection" reminds me of my past. "The Ocean" tells me that if you can think it, its possible. "The Wall" show that if you focus on your goal, it will be attained. "The Valley" shows us what is important in life. This album is timeless. Stories are like that. I plan to aquire the rest of the albums. If you are reading this, then you found a treasure. In an age of visual special effects, these stories show that nothing compares the the power of one's imagination. Thank you.

The Celestial Navigations team has combined synthesized music and storytelling into a combination that leave me begging for more. The stories are deep and the music is powerful. If you can imagine stories like those on the Twilight Zone with modern day synthesizers playing in the background, then you begin to understand what Celestial Navigations is all about. These stories paint a very vivid picture and leave you thinking every time... Everyone should have a copy of this...

I have been looking for this for 8 years..heard it on tape a long time ago.. Was so impressed by it, I began a quest to find it..Now I have!! This will take you to places inside yourself you may not have known were there..Simply amazing..

I have loved Geoffery Lewis and his stories since watching them on the Smother Brothers Show. I have worn out and given away my past tapes and CDs. I have used the stories to illustrate stress management to micro management. Celestial navagations are the best stories, for adults, I have ever come across.
