5.0 out of 5 stars The best
I have been a green tea drinker for a long time and have tried many brands, but I keep coming back to Celestial Seasonings. Very good tea.
This is a lovely flavored tea, never bitter and never has that processed taste that so many teas have. I drink a full pot of it every day and the flavor is always consisent... no nasty surprises.

2.0 out of 5 stars This green tea made me blue

2.0 out of 5 stars This green tea made me blue, February 24, 2010
This review is from: Celestial Seasonings Authentic Green Tea, 40-Count Tea Bags (Pack of 6) (Grocery)
Although this is a negative review, you will not find a bigger fan of Celestial Seasonings tea than me, which is why this variety of tea disappointed me so. The original blend without white tea was so much better. It was a perfect balance of tartness and sweetness. This new blend, on the other hand, tastes like lawn mower clippings. I would expect that from Bigelow or Yogi tea, but not my beloved Celestial Seasonings. Although I can understand the desire for innovation, sometimes the adage holds true: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." CS had the perfect forumula before, and they ruined it. Sadly, I will have to break my monogamous relationship with CS and try other brands of green tea. Good thing that I received a free sample of this tea to try and didn't waste my hard-earned money on a whole package of it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid, a horrible green tea, July 17, 2010
This review is from: Celestial Seasonings Authentic Green Tea, 40-Count Tea Bags (Pack of 6) (Grocery)
I have been drinking tea for years. This particular blend of green and white tea by the folks at Celestial Seasonings is quite possibly the worst cup of tea I have ever had. Green tea naturally has a grassy kind of taste to it, but it is very light and hidden behind the smooth, sweet, and slightly bitter taste the rest of the flavor produces. I love the taste of a solid green tea, however this is anything but. I don't know what exactly went wrong with this blend of green and white, but the final product remains consistant no matter how many times I try to give CS a chance to prove it was just a bad batch I have recieved. The smoothness and slightly sweet flavor is totally gone and you are left with nothing, NOTHING but bitter grass. I am not a particularly picky tea drinker folks, I can tell you of the kind I have had which is better than the others, but I still can find enjoyment in most teas I consume. This particular brand is just totally unpleasing to the pallet in every way and there is no way I can possibly recommend you avoid it enough.

Amazon has a great value on the 40 count boxes... much cheaper and fresher than I could ever get at my grocery store.

2.0 out of 5 stars Why Did They Do It?, November 10, 2010
This review is from: Celestial Seasonings Authentic Green Tea, 40-Count Tea Bags (Pack of 6) (Grocery)
I'm a huge fan of Celestial Seasonings. Even worked for them, years ago. Their green tea was one of my favorite non-loose varieties. Now, they've gone and messed with it, adding white tea for "smoothness." Well, if I wanted white tea, I'd BUY white tea (and it would be silver needle organic).
Was so disappointed to get the box, and discover that the pure, lightly vegetal green tea taste was gone. Am bummed that they changed the blend, to say the least. Worst part is, the new blend doesn't taste as good as Stash's "Fusion," which is also a green/white mix...
Please bring back our green tea, Celestial Seasonings!

1.0 out of 5 stars Why the white tea blend?, February 15, 2010
This review is from: Celestial Seasonings Authentic Green Tea, 40-Count Tea Bags (Pack of 6) (Grocery)
I really cannot emphasize how disappointed I am with Celestial Seasoning's having ruined its perfectly good green tea. The company has apparently totally eliminated production of plain green tea in favor of blends with white tea. On the box it says "with White Tea for Smooth Taste."

Smooth taste my foot -- the white tea bitters it.

Can you imagine if you're a Folgers drinker 3 times a day for 10 years and then all of the sudden Folgers adds Essence of Municipal Garbage to its coffee? Yeah -- that's what celestial seasonings did to me. Thanks, guys!

You forced me to go Bigelow!

They had a classic tea and now they decided to experiment with it. I don't like the change. Why can't they offer the old one as well. Maybe these other reviews are about the previous version.

I have tried several different brands of Green Tea and this is the one most superior. I make it in my coffee pot every morning to drink it hot and take the leftover for iced tea for work. Light refreshing and the health benefits are great!

I've been drinking Celestial Seasonings for some time now. I enjoy mixing the Green Tea with one of the others that has a bit more flavor. I usually mix it with Apple Cranberry (Celestial Seasonings always) or one of the others that is close to Apple Cranberry. I'm not a coffee drinker, so the Green Tea gives me a little added boost for this Grandmax7 :-)...and the Cranberry Flavors give it the extra taste, my daily ritual!

I use several tea bags a day so I can't afford to buy fancy teas for everyday consumption. This one has good taste at a great price. Also makes a good iced green tea.
