2.0 out of 5 stars Not that good
I am very disappointed with this tea. It says green tea, but doesn't taste like green tea. I think the white tea overwhelmed the green tea. Tastes like sweetened water with some lemon flavor. Also says it contains caffeine, doesn't say how much, can't feel any of the caffeine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Something we can all enjoy, March 10, 2010
This review is from: Celestial Seasonings Green Tea, Honey Lemon Ginseng, 20-Count Tea Bags (Pack of 6) (Grocery)
First of all, I'm not a big Tea drinker. I'm far less than an aficionado. I'm 24 years old and hopelessly addicted to coffee and energy drinks. I've always entertained the idea of switching to Tea for health reasons, but have never made the transition mainly due to the taste of tea. I enjoy feeling healthy and coffee made me too jittery, energy drinks offer too much in a can and 5 hour energy shots work but are expensive. On top of it all, coffee, energy drinks and 5 hour energy shots devastated my intestinal track. (I drink all without sugar and use nondairy fat free creamer due to lactose intolerance)

I tried various Green and Black Teas, but I couldn't get past the taste. However, the trouble was finding a balance between something I could enjoy drinking with no additives, but still get a decent amount of caffeine and ECGC. Then I came across Celestial's Honey Lemon Ginseng Green Tea. I know Ginseng is one of few "natural" roots scientifically proven to improve alertness, so that was an added bonus. The first time I tried it, I instantly enjoyed it. Although the caffeine and ECGC levels aren't as high as other brands, taste comes first and foremost for me. Now it is all I drink, besides Celestial's Sleepy Time blend.

I don't work for Celestial, but I kinda wish I did, because I am so happy to have finally found a tea I actually ENJOY drinking.

Since I'm not a huge tea drinker, I'd recommend it to first time tea drinkers and casual tea drinkers alike.

We have tried a great many teas of all types during the past several years. Of them all this is the one that we have decided to be our best. Taste is good, not overwhelmingly strong nor too weak. Like the baby bear's bowl of porridge - it's just right!

.

Tea is my most frequent beverage. Normally I drink herbal teas that naturally do not contain caffeine . Occasionally I want just a little caffeine, as long as the drink is healthy. Green tea is noted for is healthful qualities.

This Honey Lemon Ginseng Green tea is an especially good beverage. It has all of the good qualities of green tea and adds the boost provided by Siberian ginseng. Real honey and lemon are blended into this tea and they enhance the flavor.

Ingredients: Green Tea, Eleuthra, Lemon Verbena, Licorice, Natural Lemon and Honey Flavors With Other Natural Flavors (Contains Soy Lecithin), Roasted Chicory, Ginger, Orange Blossoms, Honey and Asian Ginseng.

If you enjoy tea as I do, I recommend you try a pot of Celestial Seasonings Green Tea, Honey Lemon Ginseng.

This is my favorite green tea flavor, bar none! Celestial Seasonings has some other good ones (blueberry green, raspberry green), but this one tops the list.

My only complaint is that Celestial Seasonings has changed the art on the box from what is show on Amazon, and the new picture is nowhere near as good.

I love this tea! My favorite part is that the tea bags are NOT individually wrapped and don't have a string. I use this tea in my Iced Tea Maker (by Mr Coffee) and it works perfectly because I don't have to unwrap all the bags.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ginseng energy BOOST!, November 30, 2011
This review is from: Celestial Seasonings Green Tea, Honey Lemon Ginseng, 20-Count Tea Bags (Pack of 6) (Grocery)
Woah! This is what I have been looking for. The ginseng lift off! So so hyper. So here is my review.

So I have been looking for a tea that has ginger & grants energy. My first experience was Yogi brand Ginseng tea. It was too strong and gave me a headache for some reason. Next I tried lipton lemon ginseng. I was ok, in fact it goes really well with another tea that helps with mens health. Its didn't give me any energy. Last but definitely not least,Celestial Green Tea Honey Lemon Ginseng. Now as far as the taste I have to agree I don't really taste much green tea but im ok with that. I will admit it has a quite overpowering taste. But I do only add 1 cup of water so yeah. The cool thing is that I can actually taste the ginseng, that is all that really matters to me. Maybe if you mix a siberian tea it might balance out the zest, not sure. But the thing that really makes me happy about the tea is that the ginseng actually works at least for me that is. It all depends on the person for everyones body is different.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tasty, but quite overpriced..., August 17, 2011
This review is from: Celestial Seasonings Green Tea, Honey Lemon Ginseng, 20-Count Tea Bags (Pack of 6) (Grocery)
I enjoy this item very much. If you're not a true "tea consumer" try the green tea with white tea. The taste is mild and a tad sweet. My only gripe is the price. I purchased this product at my local herbal food store paying a mere $3.29 compared to the whopping $15.00 listed here. Great substitute for coffee drinkers, which I am :), who desire less crash and more sass throughout the day. Caution: Not ideal for those who suffer from insomnia or other sleep related disorders, however, moderation is key so this product can still be enjoyed by all.

This is the best morning tea, mild yet flavorful. The grocery store where I shop stopped carrying this item. Now I can get it through amazon- quick and easy. Love, love it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Add Real Honey, November 15, 2010
This review is from: Celestial Seasonings Green Tea, Honey Lemon Ginseng, 20-Count Tea Bags (Pack of 6) (Grocery)
The honey flavoring they put in this tea does not cut it. But if you add a small amount of real honey, it tastes fantastic. Totally eliminates the normal green tea bitterness. Recommended.

They should rename this flavor: "Green Tea Lemon Ginseng -- Please ADD REAL HONEY."
