5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Spiced Cider, October 2, 2008
By
I love this tea as is but my favorite way is to make it with cider!

What I do is:
pour a cup of hot cider
add a teaspoon of honey
add a Celestial Seasonings Gingerbread Spice tea bag
ENJOY!

The perfect way to relax on a chilly evening!

Gingerbread Spice is wounderful. It not only tastes great but also helps with upset stomach, indigestion, or an acidy stomach. I recomend it to anyone with a touchy tummy, or anyone who just wants a great tea to curl up with on a cold night or morning.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Ever - Hard To Find Though, February 7, 2008
This review is from: Celestial Seasonings Holiday Tea Gingerbread Spice Herb Tea, 20-count (Pack of6) (Grocery)
I love this tea, it is now my favorite, and was sorry to not be able to find it anywhere this winter season. My guess is that it is just that popular. Celestial Seasonings Candycane tea with a bit of carob added to it is also one of their best.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Hot Holiday Drink, November 18, 2009

This review is from: Celestial Seasonings Holiday Tea Gingerbread Spice Herb Tea, 20-count (Pack of6) (Grocery)
I make a hot holiday drink in my crockpot using this tea. I brew a strong half-gallon of the tea, and then add to a gallon of apple juice. It's perfect ... not too sweet. My Christmas guests loved it last year!

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun, Delightful Holiday Tea, January 4, 2007
This review is from: Celestial Seasonings Holiday Tea Gingerbread Spice Herb Tea, 20-count (Pack of6) (Grocery)
****
Celestial Seasonings' Gingerbread Spice is a delightful holiday tea. It contains cinnamon, ginger root, roasted chicory root, roasted barley malt, natural flavors, and luo han guo. Luo han guo is a sweet fruit which is used as a natural sweetener and medicinal herb in China, believed to increase longevity. Gingerbread Spice does not contain caffeine, so it's technically an herbal tea. Because of the roasted chicory root and roasted barley malt, it has a hearty taste. Sort of like gingerbread cookies---really! It is not as sweet as a cookie would be, but it's a delightful taste!

Celestial Seasonings has been around a long time, and makes quality teas. All of their teas are free of preservatives and artificial colorings and flavorings, all are certified Kosher and none use irradiated botanicals, which I appreciate. Although they use "natural flavors" in their teas, these natural flavors are derived primarily from fruits, spices and herbs, and never contain monosodium glutamate (MSG). They use environmentally conscious packaging and sustainable sourcing. To remove the caffeine from green and black teas, they use a process called "effervescent decaffeination" (using carbon dioxide). Celestial Seasonings justifiably takes pride in being a company that makes natural teas.

On the package, Celestial Seasonings writes, "A wonderful way to thaw a frosty chill is to step into a cozy kitchen warmed by the spicy aroma of fresh-baked gingerbread! That cherished old-fashioned recipe flavors our Gingerbread Spice Herb Tea -- a nostalgic medley of ginger, cinnamon and other good-for-you ingredients. Because it's naturally caffeine free, you can indulge in this festive tea anytime. And since merry moments are made to share, pour a steaming cup for friends and family, and toast to the season. Cheers!" This tea is only barely sweet and spicy but quite full bodied. Each tea bag packs a lot of flavor and I only need to use one at a time.

I recommend it, even if it's not a holiday. It's perfect for a cold or wet winter day.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great holiday treat!, December 19, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Celestial Seasonings Holiday Tea Gingerbread Spice Herb Tea, 20-count (Pack of6) (Grocery)
I got this tea last year at a local store, but couldn't find it again this year. Thank you Amazon! It's delicious with a hint of sweet. I noticed someone shared a recipe, so here's mine: One part milk, three parts hot tea, and a dash of sugar-free vanilla syrup. Better than the $5 stuff at your local coffee shop!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Winter Evening, December 19, 2011

The tree is up, the stockings are hung. The house is quiet now, and I'm sitting on the couch admiring the lights on the tree with this perfect warming cup of tea. Try it with a little brown sugar instead of white. Happy Holidays!

5.0 out of 5 stars Latte Love, November 15, 2011
This review is from: Celestial Seasonings Holiday Tea Gingerbread Spice Herb Tea, 20-count (Pack of6) (Grocery)
This is a really tasty tea. If you are craving something sweet try a gingerbread tea latte: Steam and froth a little soymilk with cinnamon and a little bit of honey. Then add your water and teabag. It is really delicious and much healthier than all those tempting seasonal coffee drinks that are packed with sugar and calories. This tea is also just as tasty plain!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Holiday Tea, November 27, 2010
This review is from: Celestial Seasonings Holiday Tea Gingerbread Spice Herb Tea, 20-count (Pack of6) (Grocery)
I look forward to this tea every year! I was so disappointed when none of our local stores were carrying any holiday teas this year! Thankfully Amazon is carrying by the case so I can enjoy it even longer!
