This review is from: Celestial Teachings: The Emergence of the True Testament of Jmmanuel (Jesus) (Paperback)
This book by James Deardorff was a work of love and truth. In the papes of this book you will be able to take every line from the Talmud Jmmanuel book and understand how the original writings of the TJ have been changed to benefit religions of today. This book is very detailed and will take time to read and study.

This review is from: Celestial Teachings: The Emergence of the True Testament of Jmmanuel (Jesus) (Paperback)
If genuine, the Talmud of Jmmanuel is very, very important.
Was the real message of Jesus/Immanuel transformed by Paul and the very early Chruch? The "translation" (in German, then English) (of an aramaïc text) we can read is parallel to the canonical Mathiew Gospel with some differences. Does a hoaxer could have produce the text from Mathiew? Deardorff presents the pieces of the puzzle (is this doc gennuine ? why we don't have the original ? Discovered in 1963, it was accidentaly burnt during Israel/Lebabon war) and, more importantly analyses, with a great exegetical competency, the differences between TJ and Mathiew, pericope by pericope. Conclusion: the TJ appears to be the "source" that Mathiew copied while largely editing all that seemed to him "heretical" along the views of the primitive Church. Deardorff arrives to a conclusion that seems serious (to me) without exluding along his research, the poossibility that the text could have been a hoax. So it's honest work, without prejudice. If you follow the author's conclusion, you will understand why there was so many "gnostic" apocryphs in the second century (it seems to me that none of the experts of the field explains this fact)and you will have another view on some tenets of the christian Churchs. So buy and read this book, now! I would especialy encourage all the pundits, experts, professors who are honest enough to be ready to "just" read a book that could subverse their ideas resulting from a whole life of hard work.
