Jeff Provine at his best,
By The Buccinator (inside your head) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Celestial Voyages: The Moon (Paperback)
Celestial Voyages: The Moon is, although not quite a masterpiece, definitely one of the best books I have read this year. Mr. Provine has found a near-perfect balance of adventure, science, and just plain silliness which kept me reading from the book's modest beginnings on a small farm in Ohio to the highly satisfactory conclusion. The plot develops in unexpected directions while still maintaining the necessary sense of forward progression essential to most well-done science fiction series. The author's upbeat, highly moral characters are also very refreshing considering the questionable state of affairs in the world today. In short, we could all take a page from Jeff Provine's book; heck, I've taken all of them.
I am currently reading Celestial Voyages: Venus and anxiously await the release of the third installment, Celestial Voyages: Mars. |
