This audio tape is one of the best I've listened to.,

This review is from: The Celestine Meditations: A Guide to Meditation Based on The Celestine Prophecy (Audio Cassette)
After reading "The Celestine Prophecy", I decided to try the audio tape on meditating. I have tried other meditation tapes, but find Salle-Merrill Redfield's voice to be quite soothing and relaxing, and each time I listen, I find intuitions about questions in my own life. I find myself drawn to the peacefulness of the forests, and have come to love camping as a result, as long as the site is of a wilderness nature. This tape has helped me to make decisions on the path I am taking in my life, and this excites me, as I have questioned where my life was going for some time, and because of this tape, I now know without a doubt. I highly recommend this cassette tape for anyone who is concerned about their future as well as that of the planet. Excellent!

Move Your Focus and Soothe Your Soul,

This review is from: The Celestine Meditations: A Guide to Meditation Based on The Celestine Prophecy (Audio Cassette)
A lovely tape which will simply pull the listener out of the hustle and bustle of this world, and show you perspective and enlightenment, as well as soothing comfort. The tape is read by the author's wife who speaks soothingly and pleasantly in very slow, deliberate tones with very soft music in the background. Each side is about 25 minutes (with an intro from the author on Side 1) and contains one meditation per side, relating to two of the Celestine Prophecies. As much as I have enjoyed this tape, I fully expected to also enjoy the audio of the book - an abridgement that was insultingly simplistic and poorly abridged - Spirituality for Dummies? The Celestine Meditations is in a different league altogether - I highly recommend this tape, which is pretty close to perfect.

I have purchased many different meditation CD's over the years, and this is by far my favorite! Instead of just playing relaxing music (which I also like), this is what is called a "guided meditation" - where the author leads you on a meditative journey.
Several times while listening to this CD I have reached that point where I am so relaxed that I actually feel like I am "falling into myself" (it's a hard feeling to describe, but it's absolutely wonderful!!!). Salle's voice is extremely peaceful and quite easy to listen to (It's amazing how important the sound of the author's voice is while attempting to meditate - I have several CD's that I just can't listen to because the author's voice actually grates on my nerves). I recommend this CD for anyone interested in meditation - it may become your favorite too!

Celestine Meditations,
This review is from: The Celestine Meditations (Audio CD)
I am a long time meditator and own many tapes and CDs and this one is THE BEST. I am so happy that it is finally coming out on CD as I have worn out at least three tapes. My husband and I are both musicians and use this tape before going to work, especially if we have had a stressfull day. It is like taking a wonderful, lazy nap, except you wake up ready to take on the world. Salle's voice is restful and engaging. You can also get this meditation as an audiobook.

Salle Merrill Redfield has a great voice for guiding a person into meditation. After listening to several simular recordings, this one stands out as a crisp, clean and soothing option. Prior to having this recording available on CD, I used the taped edition so often as it consistanly "did the trick", that I simply wore it out. Would be nice if she would follow up with other mediation recordings.

The style of writing surprised me at first but after I got used to that I was most intrigued by the subject. I have finished reading that one and am now on The Tenth Insight. The second book in the series.

Warning: contains cheesy "new age" music,
By KV Trout (Centerville, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Celestine Meditations (Audio CD)
Take this review with a grain of salt. I have not DONE the meditation yet.
However, I have an aversion to cheesy "new age" "music" made with synthesizers in order to get "other worldly" "spacey" sounds that some people think are appropriate for meditating. I disagree that they are appropriate for meditating or for anything else, either. So just wanted to warn any other anti-new-age-music-ites out there that this cd does use that synthesizer sound for the background of the meditation. If you want a really good and legitimate Meditation session, as opposed to guided relaxation or guided journey like this is, try Meditations for Everyday Mindfulness - Beryl Bender Birch (Artist). For "New Age" music without synthesizers, AND info re healing with meditation and sound - a special priced 2 cd set, try "Healing With Sound and Music" by Dr. Andrew Weil and Kimba Arem. The music on the 2nd disc is crystal bowls, bells, flute and other real instruments, no synthesizer and super relaxing.

it's fine to find a book that explain some of the experiences yo've sensed before. When you read it, you say, ya!, that's what I've minded in several times but y couln't racionalice it.For that, it seems a miracle to find some kind of persons that have had similary experiences. One question: Idon't understand very well the explanations about the roles of the parents in your own experiences. I think it have to do with our later way in the live but don't recognice in my case the reasons or the results. Sorry my english is not very fine. if some one can spak spanish I'll thank. |
