5.0 out of 5 stars A guide for the soul
First in a series of books that guides you to a new spirtual level and gives you the tools for your own spirtial awakinging. Redfield is inspiring and wonderful the passages opened my awarness and gave me new vision. The synchronicity has become like a steady flow of water, everpresent and crystal clear.

3.0 out of 5 stars Celestine Prophecy
This is a good thriller/story book version for introducing thephilosophy and idea of Integral Yoga of Sri Aurobindo Ghosh and MirraAlfassa also known as the Mother... The insights themselves are presented in simplistic ways as if they are within the reach of everyone. A person feels good and warm on reading the book and their hope is raised for the goal that this...

4.0 out of 5 stars Celestine Prophecy, January 26, 2006
This review is from: The Celestine Prophecy: A Pocket Guide to the Nine Insights (Hardcover)
The Celestine Prophecy is a very philosophical story that explains spiritual theories through a story. A very captivating book that steers the mind in different directions and has the reader question his own beleifs over and over again. This book has nine insights that with thought can improve your own life without actually beleiving in the literal meaning translated from the book.
If you enjoy reading philosophical books that have to do with such things as auras, you will fall in love with this book. The book will give you insights that you wouldn't have thought of and it'll have you come up with many ideas of your own. I recommend this book.

WHILE WAITING FOR AUTO REPAIRS, I FOUND A THRIFT SHOP TO BROWSE, AND PICKED UP THIS BOOK FOR A DOLLAR. WHEN I GOT HOME, I READ THE BOOK IN 6 HRS. I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN!! I JUST LOVED IT! IT WAS AN ADVENTURE, AND IF YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN SPIRITUAL PATH, AND NOT SURE ABOUT YOUR FEELINGS YOU EXPERIENCE ALONG THE WAY, THIS BOOK WILL GENTLY GUIDE YOU, AND CONFIRM THAT YOUR EXPERIENCES ARE JUST PERFECTLY NORMAL. I PERSONALLY HAVE BEEN AWARE OF MUCH OF THIS FOR YEARS, WITHOUT EVER READING A THING. ENJOY!!

5.0 out of 5 stars It is a wonderful new path to the old road we all search for, August 22, 1999

This review is from: The Celestine Prophecy: A Pocket Guide to the Nine Insights (Hardcover)
I've read the Celestine Prophecy 3 times, and each time I've read it, I gain more insight into my own personal journey. This is also my third copy of it, as I lend it to someone who in turn lends it to someone else. For anyone who is not afraid to be open-minded, and who gets the feeling that there is so much more adventure and wonder to life than what we already know, it's a wonderful way to get in touch with those traces of remembrance we all have, whether we acknowledge them or not. I think most people are afraid because it challenges their existing belief systems. The prophecies do, but through challenge we grow, and if we do not allow ourselves to be open to that growth we may not die, but we may fail to achieve our own full potential. I can't imagine anyone who lives with or without faith not being positively affected by James Redfield's books. I am currently enjoying the 10th insight again and look forward to 11/99 when the 11th is released.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unusual and a must read, September 14, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: The Celestine Prophecy: A Pocket Guide to the Nine Insights (Hardcover)
I have read it and write out the 9 insights in my notebook. It is very interesting and seem somehow related to my spiritual growth and what I believe in.

I like the way how the author defined things like coincidence, higher vibration and love.

Recommended to me by a good friend who could see I was suffering after personal crisis. It has helped me a great deal and for those of you who lack spiritual direction it may help guide you. Since reading the book, too many coincidences have happened to be just conincidences. I was not impressed by the quality of the storyline but the overall content was OK. A fascinating read with many implications. Enjoy.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must for those on a path of energetic spiritual growth!, April 20, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: The Celestine Prophecy: A Pocket Guide to the Nine Insights (Hardcover)
James Redfield wrote a novel, a story, to entertain and enlighten those who are ready to see and hear. I had many unanswered questions concerning my spirituality and purpose, some have been answered by the Nine Insights. I think this is a must read book for any who are seeking to reunite with their higher selves and the energy of the planet, seeking something that religeon does not satisfy. Even though this is a fiction story, it offers real practical methods by which we can evolve to the next level. The story itself asks us to suspend disbelief for a while in order to get the point of the story, which is a singular truth about spiritual evolution. It just gains more acceptance by being protrayed as "Fantasy"....

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth a read, June 8, 1998
This review is from: The Celestine Prophecy: A Pocket Guide to the Nine Insights (Hardcover)
Whether or not one chooses to take the ideas put forth in the Celestine Prophecy and make a personal religion out of them, I think that Redfield has some interesting thoughts. The novel is obviously fiction, but the "insights" can have application in one's own life. Maybe you make the Celestine Prophecy your Bible and subscribe to the newsletter. Maybe you just start thinking a little more about the spiritual aspect of life. Either way, I think that the Celestine Prophecy's insights are worth a look and should get the mental and spiritual juices flowing. I bought the book a few months after reading it, and I don't regret that. If I read the sequel(s), though, I'll check them out of the library. I am a Christian.
