Whenever dealing with optics, you always have to be skeptical about "high power" because usually, going to the highest magnification just shows up the weakness of the optics. I was pleasantly surprised however, by how clear 1000 power is on this very nice student microscope. It's powerful enough to really show some very small structures, and is an excellent value for the money.

We love our microscope! It's easy to use and has already inspired hours of study for us. I was hesitant to buy it because of the price, but it's well-made and produces clear images. I highly recommend it!
