This review is from: Celestron 52233 C50 Mini Mak Weather Proof Spotting Scope (Electronics)
I purchased this as a spotting scope and for looking at stars and planets. It's cheap, waterproof, and lightweight. It appears to be well-designed, too, and flexible (you can add standard eye-pieces and even a camera adapter). The mini-tripod is pretty worthless, and so I just bought a nice tripod to mount the thing on, and I'm waiting to get a chance to try it out. I found the Mini Mak very hard to focus with the small tripod; but I'm a novice and I'm willing to believe that might be my problem rather than the product's problem.
