So-So If You Don't Expect Much,

This review is from: Celestron 71144 UpClose 20x50 Porro Prism Binoculars (Electronics)
I bought these on a lark, because of the price. For a lark, I guess they are worth the $27. But the "exit pupil" is too short so that they are useless with glasses and the field of view is small even without then. (I am near sighted, this might be different for people with normal or far-sighted vision.)But the focus travel is long enough that I can focus them without my glasses and the image is reasonable clear. Binoculars with this amount of magnification ought to have a place to attach to a tripod. The case and strap seem OK, but I haven't used them.
In short, these binoculars are minimally useful but only just so. They seemed to be designed for sale and not for real use. Celestron really shouldn't market items of this quality (nor should anybody else for that matter). All in all, it is better to either pay more for reasonable good quality or do without than to buy something of barely acceptable quality.

I've never owned a pair of binoculars before, so I'm no expert. But as far as I can tell, these are great! If higher end kinds are optically better, I doubt I'd be able to tell the difference!

Excellent view of pregger robins indeed!,
This review is from: Celestron 71144 UpClose 20x50 Porro Prism Binoculars (Electronics)
Thinking the red bellied beasts pregger is one thing! seeing them at close range only from the comfort of the heated wonderfulness of my own home - nothing shy of bliss...
Thanks, Celestron
