I bought these on a lark, because of the price. For a lark, I guess they are worth the $27. But the "exit pupil" is too short so that they are useless with glasses and the field of view is small even without then. (I am near sighted, this might be different for people with normal or far-sighted vision.)But the focus travel is long enough that I can focus them without my glasses and the image is reasonable clear. Binoculars with this amount of magnification ought to have a place to attach to a tripod. The case and strap seem OK, but I haven't used them.

In short, these binoculars are minimally useful but only just so. They seemed to be designed for sale and not for real use. Celestron really shouldn't market items of this quality (nor should anybody else for that matter). All in all, it is better to either pay more for reasonable good quality or do without than to buy something of barely acceptable quality.

I've never owned a pair of binoculars before, so I'm no expert. But as far as I can tell, these are great! If higher end kinds are optically better, I doubt I'd be able to tell the difference!

Thinking the red bellied beasts pregger is one thing! seeing them at close range only from the comfort of the heated wonderfulness of my own home - nothing shy of bliss...

Thanks, Celestron

These binoculars are worth more than double the price i payed for them. I have had them in the rain, mud, and cold and they work perfectly. Update. They are holding up great after 2 years of bumping and riding in the dash of my truck...

We really love these. They were actually a gift for our 9 year old son, who found them easy to use. They are heavy duty and well made. I'm no expert, but they certainly work well for our needs.

"High-powered binoculars for $25! Sounds too good to be true!" Of course it is. These are fuzzy, hard-to focus low-end binoculars. For the price, it's hard to rate them worse than mediocre, but they are only good for glimpses here and there - they would be painful to use for continuous viewing. I spun the wheel and lost. Next time I'll pay up and expect to get quality.
