5.0 out of 5 stars Nice eyepiece, November 13, 2009

This review is from: Celestron 93396 Axion LX Series 1.25 Inch 15mm (Electronics)
I tried with my 10" f/4.7 DOB.

To my surprise I saw no coma at all (I expected to see some due to fast telescope), but stars were nice points all over 82 degrees.

Field of view is really HUGE, the view is awesome, you need to move your head to see it all.
Some guys don't like it, but for a DOB it's actually a very nice feature: you point to a star and wait it to drift, no need to bump the tube every 10-20 seconds.

You can barlow it and still have FOV of a plossl, but twice the magnification. So with one eyepiece and a barlow (highly recommended celestron ultima with japan optics) you can both look at deep sky objects like M31 and see striped Jupiter with all it's moons.

Never had a Nagler, but Axiom LX comes with less than half the price with same features, so it's perfect for me.
I'd love to have all line of Axiom LX.
