Pretty much a complete set of everything you need. The only thing they could have put in the 3xbarlow eye piece.

I like this kit because it helps to target the telescope and has better eyepieces that have improved magnification. The finderscope is a bit sensitive to sight initially, and is a bit fragile and can be bumped out of alignment easily. The carry bag is nice, but doesn't help to protect the finderscope much. For $20, it provides a lot of additional eyepieces adds some needed targeting functionality for the basic Celestron Telescope.

I bought it for my nephew ,along with the telescope, for Christmas. he really enjoyed loo yes the capability of being able to print out star maps and compare them to what he was seeing in the sky.

We purchased the Celestron FirstScope Accessory Kit along with our FirstScope at Christmastime. The first night we used them, we put in the lowest power lens to find Jupiter, and then once we found it, we put on the highest power lens from the accessory kit. We were stunned to be able to see Jupiter and four of its moons right off the bat!

Mind you, with this lens, Jupiter was pretty much just a blurry and small white disk; you couldn't discern that it was a globe or see the bands, Great Red Spot, or even any color at all, and the moons looked like bright stars, but there they were, three of them to the right and one on the left, all lined up and very close to Jupiter, so I'm sure that's what they were. And my kids and I were absolutely thrilled.

Another reviewer wasn't quite correct when he said that using the spotting scope from the accessory kit is impossible. It's only if you put the telescope on the ground or try to spot objects that are directly overhead where you run into problems. We put ours on a stool, and we were able to use it to find objects that were not directly overhead.

We paid about $35 for the scope on sale at Christmastime here on Amazon, and we shelled out another $15 for the accessory kit. Well worth the money on both accounts, even if that one look at Jupiter is the only thing we ever look at.

As far as we're concerned, this accessory kit is a must-buy. The other reviews and our first shot at using the scope have convinced us to invest in a Barlow and a zoom lens, too.

This accessory kit is useful and it is a shame they don't package it all together under one price. Instead, you get the scope then discover you need all this too! Guess that is marketing, but I don't like being taken advantage of. Anyway, the kit is helpful. Remember, the first scope is just that -very basic and nothing expensive. Same can be said for this kit.

Eye pieces are clear and focus well. The finder scope is very cheap and extremely hard to align. Actually, it is hard to align and almost impossible to keep aligned. However, it does help when trying to use the telescope if you can get it aimed in the general area first using the finder scope.

I found the CD to be very out of date and of almost no value to me. Certainly not user friendly. After about 30 minutes with it, it just shelved it. Maybe I should have spent more time learning to use it, but I could not see any reason to do so.

Overall, the kit is overpriced for what you get, but it is minimally worth getting - if nothing else, for the eye pieces.

I bought my children (and me) the FirstScope for the holidays. This is a must-have accessory kit. The spotter scope, when calibrated, is invaluable for viewing stars and planets. The various eye pieces and moon filter enable viewing the sky and moon from many different perspectives. I only wish there were more range between the eye pieces that came with the scope and the ones included in this set. I'd love a more powerful option...

This is an excellent accessory kit. I haven't used the software yet, but the additional eyepieces are extremely useful giving a lot more flexibility in viewing, and the moon filter is definitely nice to have (a full moon is pretty overwhelming when viewed through the score and probably bad for your eyes). I would definitely recommend this as an excellent addition to the firstscope.
