16 power is very high for binoculars. With this body size, the shaking of the image is severe, and the high power makes the image dim from the 32mm front lenses. Bigger 16x binoculars are steadier and brighter, but still shaky. If you grip a 4ft x 1/2" dowel to a barrel, the view is much steadier and the flare at the end keeps the dowel out of the view. The field of view is small also, so it will be tricky to find the target. Natural consequences aside, if you have a lot of light and stabilize the body well, the sharpness is OK and the color is nice and natural. The Celestron 10x21 G2 gives a brighter image with less shake, and for its power, has a sharper image, so you can see more if your eyes are up to it. If you can take a bit more size, Celestron, Leopold, and Barska all have 8x30 porros with deep contrast and images so sharp you will catch a lot of detail. They do cost more. Basically, you can either back down from this (the 8x20 range) or move up a bit (8x30) and get more useable detail. Birders go for the 8x40 size, but that does add a lot of weight.

Verified Purchase
Bottom cover plate that surrounds adjustment knob fell off when the binoculars were removed from the box. NOT a good first impression.
