Celia's first and (sadly) only collaboration with Sonora Poncena yielded this truly amazing and timeless album which features the immortal classics "Sonaremos El Tambor", "Fina Estampa" and the glorious "La Ceiba Y La Siguaraya". The pairing of the Queen of Salsa with one of Puerto Rico's greatest and most dearly loved musical institutions resulted in sheer musical magic as evidenced by the three above-mentioned tracks. No serious salsero's collection is complete without this superb CD.

I've been looking to buy this album again for the longest time. I had it on cassette when I used to have close to 200 of them. I am so glad I can come in here, find my favorite music at a low price, have it delivered perfectly almost all the time, sometimes the Cd box gets cracked due to handling, but most of the time I am able to hear the music I love again and remind myself of the greatest time of my life. This album should be in any self respecting collectors collection. I am not a great collector but a collector non the less. Get it, listen to it and thank me later.

This is a classic! My favorite track is LA CEIBA Y LA JARAYAGUA...well worth for the price you pay at Amazon! A collectible for Salsa fanatics.

Celia Cruz made great albums with many of Salsa's greatest artists, and seemed to bring out the best in each of them. La Ceiba is my all-time favorite album by Sonora Poncena, and my favorite Celia Cruz album as well. I've been trying to find it in local stores ever since I lost the LP, and no-one could seem to find it. It hasn't been easy doing without this essential album by "The Queen of Salsa."
