In 1999, before her retirement, Celine released her greatest hits album, "All The Way...A Decade of Song." This year, Sony Music started a brand new series of collector's albums of hits from worldwide, starting with this "The Collector's Series-Volume 1." Now, this album is comprised of lesser known hits from all over the decade long career Celine has enjoyed. I personally like this album better than All The Way, and although I have all of the songs and all of her CDs, I am more than willing to shell out money for anything by or about Celine.

The Power of The Dream-What a beautiful song! The lyrics are so inspirational and Celine's voice is accentuated in this song. Finally, 4 of Celine's lesser known songs are being recognized on this album: "The Prayer" with Andrea Bocelli, her first English hit "Where Does My Heart Beat Now," "Pour Que Tu M'Aimes Encore" a moving French song from the album D'Eux which sold over 6 million copies worldwide, and "Amar Haciendo El Amor" a Spanish language song which was available on international editions of Let's Talk About Love. If you're just being introduced to the music of Celine, I strongly recommend that you get 1999's "All The Way...A Decade of Song" (her greatest hits collection) and this album, which has a broad selection of all of her worldwide hits, including songs in 4 different languages: Spanish, French, English and Japanese.

In 2000, Celine had already started her first of the two-year hiatus she decided to go on, so she and Renee could start a family of their own, so she could spend more time with Renee after learning of his illness, so she could see her own family more often. On October 24, 2000, Celine Dion's album, The Collector's Series Volume 1 was released, containing the hits that didn't make it onto her '99 album All The Way... A Decade Of Song. This is yet another amazing album and it's an album only Celine could put together.

From the album Celine Dion (1992). Even though this was written by Prince, who I loathe with a passion, this is a beautiful song. I only credit Prince for his exellent ability to write. He is only a great lyricist.

From the album The French Album (1995). This is the French version of the song If That's What It Takes. The English version of If That's What It Takes can be found on the album Falling Into You (1996).

TELL HIM (with Barbra Streisand)
From the album Let's Talk About Love (1997). From Barbra Streisand's album Higher Ground (1997). Both Celine and Barbra have beautiful voices, but when you put them together, you are guaranteed to cringe with chills. Their voices together on one song are nothing less than beautiful.

THE PRAYER (with Andrea Bocelli)
From the album These Are Special Times (1998). Beautiful song. Andrea Bocelli has an amazing voice. This is added to the "dedications" list of mine.

ALL BY MYSELF (Spanish Version)
Previously unreleased. The English version is better.

This is an album that everyone should own. Buy it and you'll see that you'll enjoy it.

I was really disappointed when I read the songlist on the back of the Cd because it did not include my favorite Celine Dion songs. The only song that I really liked was "Where Does My Heart Beat Now", which was shamefully left out of "All The Way".

This CD is for the hardcore Celine Dion fan. If you want to hear her hit songs, then get "Celine Dion: All The Way".

This CD made a delightful holiday gift for a fan like me. Such an awesome album. So recommended.

I wrote another review on this CD but id like to write one more review about this CD! My favourite songs on this album are, The Power Of The Dream Where Does My Heart Beat Now Us With This Tear Pour Que Tu M'Aimes Encore All By Myself (spanish version) Thats The Way It Is The Prayer those above are my favourite songs, the rest of the songs are good but i like the ones above the most! This was my first Celine Dion album and then my grandma bought me her english album called All The Way... A Decade Of Song and its great too. Im going to get 4 more of her albums soon and they will be, Falling into you The colour of my love the french album s'il suffisait d'aimer I just love Celine's beautiful singing she has the best voice. I will write some more reviews when i get those other 4 celine CD's! So if yall dont already has this CD then GO OUT THERE AND GET IT! Its a must have.

I like Celine Dion and I have all her american albums, but I'm not interested in this one. Since Celine is not working this year, Sony decided to release this CD, but there's nothing very new. Most part of the songs are taken from her previous albums, and perhaps the best song is "power of the dream" from the olympic games of 96 (unreleased track). I hope the other volumes of this collection are better!

Celine is my #2 favorite artist behind Madonna, and at one time, she was #1. I bought this album and was kinda disappointed, seeings as how I already had several of the songs on previous releases. However, I did not have the rarities included on the album, The Power of the Dream, prevoiusly only available on the regular single version of It's All Coming Back To Me Now, Sola Otra Vez, the Spanish version of All By Myself, which was only previously available in a Mexican and Spanish version of the Because You Loved Me single, Amar Haciendo El Amor, previously only available in international versions of Let's Talk About Love, as was Be The Man. Other standouts include Por Que Tu M'Aimes Encore, which appeard on her Falling Into You album as If That's What It Takes, The Prayer with Andrea Boccelli, Tell Him with Barbra Streisand, With This Tear, written by Prince, and her first English-language hit, Where Does My Heart Beat Now, which hit #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1991. However, I would make one change: TAKE OUT that song The Reason and replace it with Celine's lesser known 1993 single, Nothing Broken But My Heart, which is one of my favorites by her. The presence of that song, along with Seduces Me, which is not one of my favorites by her, is why I took 2 stars off what would have been a perfect 5.

I saw Celine Dion in concert and belive me she is the real thing. This cd is a prefect thing becuase it gives us (Americans) a chance to hear some of her other songs in different languages. I enjoy all of the tracks (old and new) especially the duets. Whether curling up with a good book or trying to sleep this cd is perfect for background music. It has a mix of some of Celine's best songs- mostly slower and very beautiful. This cd gets my HIGHEST recommendation!!!

Celine has had an amazing career. Whether you choose the ten years she has been known from 1990-2000, or her early French years. Either way she has always given it her all. No matter what. She always gave us her 100% if not more.

Celine has always been a role model and inspiration for me. Not only for her voice or her beautiful looks, but for her strive for excellence and always working hard. That's why she has achieved so much.

This is a great cd for a fan of hers for a long time, or a new one. This cd shows off her beautiful voice in many ways. What I like about this cd, is that there are all different songs on it-from her earlier years and most recent. (similar to her "greatest hits"). Also there are some never before released songs in the U.S.A on this cd.

Even though Celine may be on a 2-3 year hiatus, she is still one of the best singers in the world. And can NEVER be replaced. She will always be one of musics best. And whether she decides to come back and sing again, is unknown. But at least she has accomplished what she had hoped for. And if so it was meant to be. It's for sure we will see her around.

Wow. I don't know where to start. A wonderful selection of hand-picked material. This is such a quailty C.D. You get the feeling it was very well thought out: the material the presentation, the order of the songs, and I have to mention the incredible photos on the cover and insleeves.

Where Does My Heart Beat Now is a breath of fresh air, Celine's first big hit in the U.S. market. All By Myself in Spanish, works very well and grabs your attention and holds it for the next 4 minutes.

Be The Man show cases Celine's wide range. Her voice is unbridled and totally free, Her range is absolutely amazing, no other female singer can compare to her range.

With This Tear is one of the most amazing songs I have ever heard. Her voice is so HUGE in this song. Like a Huge Roaring Lion! Undoubtedly Celine has the most powerful voice of all the female singers. This is a great C.D. I'm very content with it. All aspects of it. Vocally, musically, lyrically. The songs are fresh and they're Quality.
