Dr. Barry Grundland is a psychiatrist whose specialty area might be called psychoneuroimmunology (mind-body healing). Cell Level Meditation is his life work, and he has worked in many arenas: from child psychiatry (his favorite) to the military; he has worked with corporate presidents and homeless people; he has consulted in prisons and cancer retreat centers. Barry has worked with people all over the world and helped them heal from things modern-day medicine hasn t been able to cure. He has also worked creatively with some of the most evolved people on the planet to develop their talents more fully. For over 40 years, he s been working with people as a true healer one who helps others come to Wholeness, or to a sense of being who they really are.
Patricia Kay, MA, CCH, discovered the connections between the mind, the body and the Spirit by working as a midwife in rural Mexico for 11 years, along with serious personal health crises that opened doors of awareness. She also studied homeopathy under a master homeopathic physician and has been working with this spirit-like modality for over 20 years. Through both midwifery and homeopathy, she s had the privilege of witnessing the amazing capacity of the body and mind to heal themselves in ways that are often surprisingly creative. Working with the deep intelligence of the body/mind through meditation was a logical next step. She met Barry about 7 months after a very remarkable experience of Cell Level Meditation, in which her foot spontaneously healed, while she was present in a meditative state, watching it happen. Barry accepted her as a student and a co-creative process began in 2001 that would find a voice of expression through this book. They worked at finding the right tone so the gift would point others toward the path of their own healing, while leaving it open for the unique creativity of each person to come forth. Patricia has taught workshops and worked individually with people by meditating with them, since 2004. She s given the book out to dozens of people, asking for feedback and incorporating what she s learned that helps people begin to have their own deeply healing experiences.

Simple and powerful,
By
This review is from: Cell Level Meditation (Paperback)
A book that guides you to connect with your own living cells and energy and opens the door to inner healing and wisdom. I appreciated the simple guidance that makes no attempt to quantify, qualify, or confine the ways of inner relationship and essence. As a practitioner of subtle energy work, I was excited by a book that fully empowers the reader to be present and witness their own capacity for healing through the use of breath and awareness. Its engaging conversational style is accessible to all who read it.

Shadow play losing ground !,
By
This review is from: Cell Level Meditation (Paperback)
In the world of new medicine and healing we are seeing the curtain rise and the shadow play losing ground. We see the shadow play and we see a gain in the ground. Plato's allegory of the cave where reality was obstructed by delusion in shadow is a fitting allegory or so it seems as healing is no longer obscured and relegated to simply new age practices! Past exclusions between science and spirit are seeing new crossovers, experiencing a new sunrise never to set again.
Cell level meditation is one of handful of new books that guide one away from the shadow and into the light. The beauty of this small book is its honesty and simplicity. The reader will quickly grasp the poetic language filtering throughout - a silent spaciousness- as well as shaded with haiku "from the mind of a single, long vine 100 opening lives. Essentially this book is a small companion in one's exploration into learning the simple art of encountering breath,an in-folding of the senses as we are asked to "listen watchfully".Listen watchfully is a call for guided imagery-like experiences. Cell level meditation evokes in one a desire to reach in and explore sound, breath, visual scapes and fields, encounters with new horizons that make up its power into levels of potential healing;it beckons, and engages. Throughout it dances into the joy and power of letting the reader in on the healing course that cells are being redirected by cell level meditation and breath. In the closing chapters the reader is gently prodded to "Go sit in your cell and your cell will teach you everything." And further states "whatever you can imagine, opens possibilities that can burst into physical reality. The noble cells of your body can rest, take stock of the situation and create solutions to problems. What makes the cells of the body so successful is their ability to cooperate! Sounds like we should be taking classes from them". One can conclude Cell Level Meditation is therefore a companion textbook, a new friend in introducing cell level listening. You'll find the harmonics insightful. Cell Level Meditation by Patricia Kay MA and Barry Grundland MD (Paperback - Apr 22, 2009)
