Written in everyday language, this book explains network, devices and services and why they are important to me in choosing the right phone and service provider. A good read for all ages.

I've avoided getting a cell phone for so long that I feel as if I'm living in a different century from everyone else - and haven't a clue what to buy. This is a great book for explaining the basics, including the factors to consider when buying a phone. Thanks to the author, I now know what brand of cellphone and what carrier would be best for the type of calling I expect to do and the area in which I live (way out in the boonies, among mountains - which really does limit my options - glad I read this book first). Now all I have to do is to convince myself I really need a phone that's going to follow me around 24/7.

Jen O'Connell has written a no-nonsense guide to the wireless world. She makes easy reading out of the various acronyms, technologies, etc. This is a great book for anyone who is interested in learning more about the cell phone or mobile space or who buys cellular devices for themselves or a company.

What a relief! Somebody finally got around to giving us a cell phone manual that didn't make us feel like dummies. Lots of common sense, practical and helpful insights for us commoners about how our phones work and how we can work with them. Thanks Jen O'Connell!

This is really well done and great help to anyone that wants to get the most out of the $1000+ you spend each year on mobile service and cell phones. Well worth it.
