It is no wonder that they sell this in a 3 pack! Each of the belt clips lasted somewhere between a week to a few weeks, before they would just open and my phone would drop to the floor - sometimes outside. Fortunately, my case protected it, but the clip was not sturdy at all. The piece stayed on the phone (Motorola Droid 2) without problem unlike what others said - but the clip itself would not hold up. It didn't matter if I had it on my belt, or just the belt loop or even on the belt loop with the phone in my pocket. It still came apart. I have only contacted the seller today, so I don't know if there will be a response or not. The car clips - also a waste in my opinion. I tried it in two different locations and it didn't hold on either one. Don't waste your money. Maybe that is why Motorola said that they don't make a belt clip for this and expect for it to be placed in the pocket.
If anyone is interested, I solved the problem myself by taking a clip holster from an old phone that was very sturdy. I cut it down to size so that it was flat, and used some industrial strength velcro to stick it to the back of the phone case. Works like a charm!

Only one held the phone securley. At what I paid for the Clips, I guess I shouldn't expect to much.
