5.0 out of 5 stars Loved It!
I thought 'Why Not Try it?" and I picked up the book at a book store. I followed the program for 8 weeks as recommended, took the supplements, followed the diet as best as I could, and did the dry brushing...I have to say, my cellulite seems to have diminished. I am now a believer.

1.0 out of 5 stars Does NOT work !!! May be harmful...
The suggestions/solutions in this book do NOT work. I wasted over $250.00 on vitamins and followed the recommended regime for over 3 months (As opposed to the suggested 2 months... to give the program the benefit of the doubt after failing to observe any form of promised results). I am a 5'4, size zero female and I have cellulite in my thighs. After following the program...

5.0 out of 5 stars Thank you Dr. Murad, June 14, 2005

The Cellulite Solution not only helped me to understand the cause of my cellulite but also explains how to repair and correct this condition. Dr. Murad helps to debunk the idea that you get cellulite because you are overweight and shows how cells become damaged through water loss, offering internal and external modifications, as well as dietary modifications to control and correct cellulite. I am very happy that I found this book before swim suit season, so far I am very pleased with my results.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Cellulite Solution delivers results!, November 28, 2006

This review is from: The Cellulite Solution: A Doctor's Program for Losing Lumps, Bumps, Dimples, and Stretch Marks (Paperback)
I've always been a skeptic when it comes to beauty products and books, but The Cellulite Solution has made me a believer. I'm a 29 year old female in fairly good shape with a small build, but I have battled cellulite for years. I have tried various creams and spa treatments, but nothing has worked. That is until I read the solutions Dr. Murad provides in his book. In one week, my energy level increased dramatically and my skin looks so hydrated and fresh. It's absolutely amazing! I purchased a bottle of multivitamins (Prevention Magazine brand for women) plus three bottles of supplements that I take twice a day. I've also incorporated a lot of the fresh fruits and vegetables (listed in the book) into my daily meals. I even made the chicken and vegetable soup recipe mentioned in the book. It was delicious. The hardest thing to do has been giving up caffeine (which I'm still working on). I'm only drinking one to two caffeinated drinks a day as opposed to my previous five or more. I highly recommend this book and continue to be impressed with the simplicity of the program and especially the results. Despite what we've all been told, we don't have to live with our cellulite. Thanks to Dr. Murad, there is a solution.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bye Bye Cottage Cheese!, August 10, 2005

The Cellulite Solution was such a wonderful, insightful book on not only educating readers on what produces cellulite, but a solution! I've always thought my cellulite was due to my 9-5 desk job and hours of sitting! I followed the regimen, which includes supplements, a diet, a serum, and dry brushing and began to notice visible changes with in the first 2 weeks, but after 8 weeks I COULDN'T believe my eyes. My skin not only feels smooth, it LOOKS better! I'm glad I gave it a shot!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Celulite Solution, December 27, 2005

This book made a lot of sense and Dr. Murad explains everything logically and in simple terms. I thought that if it doesn't work, adding more vitamins and supplements to my diet is still a good thing. Since starting this program, I have noticed areas of my body becoming more firm and overall I have more energy. Yes, I still have my cellulite, but it appears to be not as prominent. The supplements were not hard to find --- and it is cheaper to find them on your own than to get Dr. Murad's supplement packets. I appreciated that Dr. Murad does not mention his products excessively in the book. There are several vitamin websites that offer great deals, and local drugstores are always having buy one, get one free sales every week. Plus shopping clubs sell a lot of the needed supplements and vitamins too.
This is a good book and I am glad I added this regimen to my lifestyle.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hard to find all the recommended supplements, July 4, 2005

Book is good and Dr. Murad gives good advice, along with a strong rationale to back it up. However, unless you feel like shelling out $125 a month on supplements from the Murad brand, it is hard to find the supplements.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you really want to understand cellulite, then read this book, January 5, 2008
By
This review is from: The Cellulite Solution: A Doctor's Program for Losing Lumps, Bumps, Dimples, and Stretch Marks (Paperback)
Dr. Murad explains scientifically, but at the same time simple to understand, how cellulite is formed. His program is focused on treating the problem from it's root cause which is why, if the program is followed correctly, any type of cellulite will have an improvement.

There are many supplements to be taken. They can be found easily in any health store (*little tip: the best and cheapest place to get the Glucosamine is at Costco). Although you can *find* the supplements easily, I don't find very easy to put them together and decide what time to have what. I don't know if there is any element that counteracts with others and shouldn't be taken together. I wish Dr. Murad would have a page saying what to take, the amount (milligrams), and what time (morning, after lunch or night), but probably then there would be no reason for people to buy his expensive 1 month all ready supplements. I must say I like that at least he doesn't push his products on the reader. I have read other books from doctors that have a line of products that made me fell like I was reading propaganda each other line.

I really liked the recipes in this book and I added many foods high in antioxidant to my diet, which has been helping not only my cellulite but my overall health. The explanation about what truly works for cellulite and what doesn't was also very helpful.

I recommend this book to anybody who wants to understand and treat cellulite realistically.

5.0 out of 5 stars It works !, May 26, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Like other's, I am very skeptical when it comes to books like these, but I am so happy I gave this one a shot.

I'm approaching mid thirties and I'm within a healthy weight range. However, I have always battled cellulite and wouldn't be caught dead in the pool without swim shorts over my suit.

I have incorporated 4 main elements into my routine:

1. I take supplements everyday (I just bought own at the supermarket)
2. I skin brush before every shower
3. I use a readily available skin firming lotion (from the supermarket)
4. I have moderately improved my diet and exercise

After 4 weeks, I am amazed by the results. Yes, I still have cellulite but it is definitely improved. At this point, I would go to the pool without shorts. A first in years !

I'm looking forward to seeing the full results in 4 more weeks. This is definitely a plan I can and will stick with.

1.0 out of 5 stars Does NOT work !!! May be harmful..., March 2, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Cellulite Solution: A Doctor's Program for Losing Lumps, Bumps, Dimples, and Stretch Marks (Paperback)
After following the program outlined in this book I now have varicose/spider veins which I did NOT have before following the suggestions of this book! As part of the vitamin/supplement regime, this book instructs its user to take antioxidant, biotin and niacin pills. I read an article in Reader's Digest that said these supplements could actually be harmful! It appears the antioxidants may have contributed to giving me varicose veins. Do not make the same mistake I made... go to the gym and build up the muscle in your legs. That may help, but the program in this book certainly will not.

5.0 out of 5 stars Getting Smooth, June 3, 2006
I am finally feeling better about it being summer and I am in shorts. I am not a supermodel by any stretch but I still want to feel good about how I look. I made the commitment to the program. I not only lost the cellulite on my legs, I lost 10 pounds! I feel great and certainly better about my looks.
I think you have to be commited but 8 weeks is really not that long! SO worth it!
