This review is from: A Celtic Christmas: Classic Tales from the Emerald Isle (Hardcover)
A Celtic Christmas, edited by Mairtin O'Griofa, is a collection of short stories set in early 20th century Ireland. Some settings urban and others rural, the assorted characters are young, old, rich, poor, self-centered and benevolent. The stories run from humorous to thought provoking and even sentimental and tender. It has become part of my Christmas tradition and I have re-read it every December for the past ten years.
