I bought this CD several years ago as part of an obligation to a CD club. It was CHRISTmas and I had ordered several other CDs and the whole "Celtic" thing drew me in. I cannot tell you how glad I am that it did. Sarah Lacy has perhaps the most beautiful voice that I have ever heard. Her singing is filled with true devotion and sincerity. It has a palpable quality to it, such so that you can almost reach out and touch it; it is truly extraordinary. The mixture of Sarah's voice, piano, guitar, and the uilleann pipes, plus other off of the beaten path instruments, make this offering one that you will treasure year after year. It's simplicity is able to take the hearer back to bygone days of old Ireland and England, a time where Christ was still a part of CHRISTmas. Celtic Christmas by Eden's Bridge is a must have for those who want to take a step back from the hustle and bustle of today's over-commercialized holiday, and enjoy CHRISTmas for what it once was, and still should be about...the birth of the Savior, Jesus Christ.

I received this CD as a gift for Christmas in 2001. It never got opened until November of 2002. I was unfamiliar with Eden's Bridge; that is going to be rectified!! It has become my number ONE favorite Celtic Worship CD. The music is inspirational, sung with feeling and clarity. The popular Christmas songs have much different arrangments and you may not even recognize them. There are a couple of original tracks that are wonderful, such as "Christmas is With Us Again". This CD definately takes you to another time and place. I highly recommend this and plan to purchase more of Eden's Bridge.

Although I'm a conservative religious commentator, I'm normally not a fan of the Christian music scene, which I find usually lacks creativity and simply mimics the secular music scene. Eden's Bridge is one of the few exceptions, so I own most of their CDs. This is one of my favorites, especially around Christmas time.

Eden's Bridge beautifully weaves traditional Christmas carols, traditional celtic music, and a just a touch of contemporary style into a fine recording. Sara Lacy's sings with a clear voice and a broad vocal range, and you can tell she's pouring out her heart into her best effort because she believes what she is singing about, namely, the birth of Christ.

This is Christian art at its best, that is, art that is Christian without being preachy or using the "Christian" label to mask what is artistically weak... This album is both sincerely Christian and good art.

As lovingly accomplished as their other "Celtic series" releases, "Celtic Christmas" by Eden's Bridge was re-issued as Irish Christmas (complete with MP3 option). This despite the fact that, as the band notes on their web-site, "whilst a re-release was good news, the band members were a little suprised to see no sign of the name Eden's Bridge on the cover. That and the small matter of none of the members actually being Irish."

I already had this CD. My sister heard it and liked it, so I had it sent to her for Christmas. Big Hit.
