Finest Celtic fiddle playing I've ever heard with a nice dose of bagpipes to boot! Incredibly relaxing.

Bonnie Rideout's Celtic Circles is fiery and exuberant. With being the Three-time U.S. Scottish Fiddle Champion, Rideout is a model player in the traditional music circle. She follows closely along side of the finest fiddler such as Natalie MacMaster and Liz Carroll of Cherish the Ladies.

Rideout is on another U.S. tour in 2003 with Hesperus. They will be collaborating with the 'Celtic Roots' program. Taken from the early sources of 17th &18th century Scot-Irish music. The musicians play an ensemble of fiddles, whistles, hammer dulcimer, viola, recorder and lute. While Rideout's other albums are excellent this is exceptionally good. Don't forget to listen to Bonnie Rideout's 'Scottish Christmas.' It's absolutley stunning!

This CD is wonderful! I bought it several months ago because I knew of Bonnie's music through the "Scottish Christmas" CD ( a MUST HAVE, too! ) to which she contributes beautifully. On the majority of CD purchases, a few tracks are to the liking. I can honestly say that this CD doesn't disappoint in any fashion. It delivers from start to finish. I highly reccommend this CD and any music put out by the Maggie's Music label. Buy it! Buy it! Buy it!

Celtic music, traditional tunes set along with fiddle and pipe. She goes from a longing sense of rythm to one of perk with seemingly non-existant effort!

This is a must have for those who enjoy a raucus session of celtic tunes. With endearing tunes and enchanting composition, I can recommend this with great enthusiasm~! Although I purchased this for the fiddling, the pipes are spectacular and the arrangements are memorable. BUY THIS!

I first read about this CD in a Scottish magazine. I ordered it and gave it to my four-year-old grand daughter. It is toe-tapping, dancing music to her and my delight in her love of this CD is undescribable. Being of Scottish heritage, living in the United States, and having buried one grandmother and two uncles to the drones of a piper and, being raised by a Scottish grandmother, cannot pass down that exact experience to my granddaughter. But this CD, as she toe-dances and sings to it, is the beginning of a heritage I intend to give to her. It is a wonderful gift to any child or grandchild.

This CD has a great variety of Celtic fiddle tunes, from slow laments to toe-tappin' jigs! Bonnie Rideout's talent is amazing! And the supporting instruments in the background make it perfect-- she's got some talented folks playing with her too. It inspired me to learn to play these tunes myself! Anyone who loves Celtic music will enjoy this!

In my neverending journey of discovery into of a seemingly endless supply a great Celtic talent and music, I finally came upon Bonnie's work and I choose this one to download at Amazon from among her body of work.

This is a rare collection of excellence and I'm happy that it's my first Bonnie Rideout CD. Relaxing and yet very engaging--I like Bonnie's playing style. I play it to death, vowing that it will be a while that I'll have a desire to hear these engaging tunes again and before you know it I'm putting it back in my CD playing awaiting each tune with anticipation. This should be an essential part of any Celtic fiddle lover's collection.

I'm sure there will be others for me personnally, but for now I feel like I've discovered a rare gem here and I highly recommend it.
