5.0 out of 5 stars Great Collection of Celtic Tunes, November 21, 2007

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Celtic Colours International Festival 2000 (Audio CD)
Celtic Colours is the premier Celtic music festival in the Western Hempisphere for a variety of reasons. It is held on Cape Breton Island in the province of Nova Scotia during the "Fall Colours" season when the forests of Sugar Maples are red and gold. The festival runs for over a week, and features concerts at multiple venues all over the Island. Cape Breton Island is known for the Rankin Family, Buddy & Natalie MacMaster, The Cottars, The Beaton Family, the MacGillivrays, Mary Jane Lamond, I could go on-and-on. The place is a cauldron of Celtic traditions and the music is, well, just wonderful. Especially the fiddle. This collection is just one of many offerings from the annual fest. And it's a very good one. If you love Gaelic, blazing fiddles, jigs, reels, hornpipes and Strathspeys, then you'll love these collections and you'll ultimately want all of them. If you are able to make the trip to the festival, it will be one of the best of your life. Guaranteed.
