A Great Themed Collection...,

If any of you Emerald Rose fans have been upset that you couldn't exactly give a CD of theirs to someone without having to explain all the overtly Pagan references, this is your CD!This is the CD of their folk, celtic, and traditional songs, and any of the Pagan references should slide right by anyone who likes traditional Irish or Scottish music. As one of the band members said "This is the CD without any of the stuff on it you might have trouble explaining to your grandmother". It still contains their unique style, the energy and sheer exuberance that characterize their faster songs, and the depths that they reach in their ballads, but it also is a great showcase for their instrumental skills. It deserves a place in the collection of any Emerald Rose fan on its own merits, but is also a welcome addition to the line-up as a "gift CD" for the people who wouldn't appreciate all the songs on their other albums. |
