Wonderful vocal talent!,

Beautiful music and wonderful vocals - perhaps the best part of the CD! The voices blend with the music is a classic fashion. I highly recommend this recording.

The interplay of several different musical instruments (fiddle, mandolin, fife, vocal) is blended skillfully in tunes of celtic origin. I was at times inspired (Fiddler's Green, Jig of Slurs), and placed into a revery of slef-relection (The Ash Grove), and totally charmed (Donald MgGilavry, Patrick Street)! You'll enjoy this album if you've got an ounce of the Celt in you - and even if you don't, you'll find yourself smiling, humming, tapping your feet... I did, anyway!

Great Instrumentals!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Celtic Crossover (Audio CD)
This CD fucuses heavily on traditional Celtic folk song instrumentals, with a few vocals. Generally upbeat for today's audience but true to the folk roots. This is more than New Age ambient, this is well done folk music that should appeal to non-folk listeners.

Sunland High,

This is one of the best local Irish bands in the Los Angeles Area (actually based in Sunland). The vocals are excellent, and the instrumentals are great! Although the band has changed dramatically (2 of 7 original members remain), this recording continues to pop up in new places - several tracks were used on another compilation and there was a rumor about a movie soundtrack.
