More About the Author

Rhuddlwm Gawr is an author of over twenty books with such diverse titles as "the Quest", "The Way" and "The Word" and "Celtic Crystal Magick I & II". Rhuddlwm is also a Celtic and Reiki healer, Witch high priest and elder, and certified Mediator. He is an authority on ancient Celtic mystery religions including Welsh Traditions of Paganism, Witchcraft and Druidism. He is schooled in ancient Welsh magickal practices and modern behavior sciences, and has studied with native American medicine people as well as a Welsh "shaman". He has a Ph.D. in Psychology, a D.D. in Theology, a BLA (Bachelor of Landscape Architecture) in Environmental Design and Ecology and an AA degree in Computer Systems. Rhuddlwm has been a lecturer at numerous conferences and has been published in several Pagan journals.

Rhuddlwm was born in a small Florida town and attended the University of Florida. He joined the US Marine Corps where he completed various computer, aviation, and communications courses. Upon his discharge, Rhuddlwm worked in the Caribbean as a Electronics Field Engineer and then transferred to Europe where he worked with the US Air Force on Top Secret Nuclear weapons sites. It was on the Island of Majorca in the Mediterranean sea that he met his teacher Sarah and began his Quest for the Grail. At the completion of his assignment, he traveled to Wales, studied and was initiated. He returned to the US where he joined NASA as a field engineer. Over the next several years he was assigned to many government and private projects.

He incorporated The Church of Y Tylwyth Teg, Inc. in Georgia and organized the Association of Cymry Wiccae which received a 501 (c) 3 Tax Exemption in 1976.

Between jobs with NASA and IBM, he attended the University of Maryland and acquired a BLA at the University of Georgia. He finally retired from his mundane profession in 2001.

In 2003, he was asked by his traditions elders to organize a Dynion Mwyn church in the U.S. and took over as temporary director. Due to this additional workload he turned over the operation of the Church of Y Tylwyth Teg, Inc. (YTT) to his wife Merriden in 2003. She continues to lead YTT today. The Celtic Church of Dynion Mwyn is now being successfuly lead by a Board of Directors.

In addition to his academic training and vast life experiences, Rhuddlwm has intensely applied himself to the study of Metaphysics, Occult Mysteries, Parapsychology, Western and Eastern Philosophies, World History, Biblical Studies, Comparative Religions, Cults, Anthropology, Archaeology, and Quantum Physics. Many of the insights presented in his books have come from his years of meticulous research and investigation into ancient Mystery Religions and the modern psychic world as well as drawing extensively from his Welsh, English and Native American ancestors.

He has a ninth level initiation from the Welsh pagan religion of Dynion Mwyn and is an elder of both Y Tylwyth Teg and Dynion Mwyn. Through living the teachings of the Gwyddon he has accomplished many of his life goals and continually creates new ones. He is an author of over 23 books on Welsh paganism and Witchcraft and has presented workshops on Welsh Witchcraft and Druidism, since 1966. He is also author of "Understanding Earth Religions - a Law Enforcement Guide".

He is founder and director of The Association of Cymry Wiccae, Inc., a national association of Witchcraft and Pagan Churches and Support Groups; founder of The Gathering of the Tribes, Inc.; founder of Camelot Press Group, Inc.; Director of The Celtic Church of Dynion Mwyn, Inc.; founder of The Church of Y Tylwyth Teg, Inc.; founder of Dynion Mwyn Yahoo Groups in every state; and Co-founder of The Universal Federation of Pagans.

Rhuddlwm has retired but continues to write and makes his home in Northwest Georgia. He has two daughters and a son.

1.0 out of 5 stars transparent as glass, October 2, 2003
By
emyr (Llangennech, Wales) - See all my reviews
I gazed deeply into my magical Celtic crystal, a mist arose as if from an autumnal Breton lake. Slowly shapes began to emerge, reminiscent of Lleu and Bran, I shook my magikk cristal and the images became clearer and clearer. I saw a man. Was this an ancient Celt, I mused, was it the soul of a druid coming to help me or Arthur offering me Caledfwlch???

No - it was Rhuddlwm Gawr, a 64 year old American who has never visited a Celtic country in his life. I could see his vouluminous body in the crystal. 'O Lord Rhuddlwm', I pleaded 'help me find meaning in my life'.

'Hold on a sec' said he as he gazed at from his big American house 'let me just switch off the television.'

'Are you truly a Celtic druid' I asked him, my hands trembling 'did your founder really swim with fairies in Betws-y-coed'

'Eermmm' he replied, resplendant in his Mickey Mouse T-shirt 'yes, in Wales, that's the bit of England on the bottom right, no left on the maps'.

'Tell me o wise one, how to wake ARthur from his sleeping place, what are the majickle Welsh words'.

'Well, I don't actually speak Welsh' he mumbled ' but I have got a Teach-yourself Book ... somewhere .... in the attick i think'.

'Tell me more about Crisstles, and how the Celts use them'.

'Oh yes, the Celts are Mesopotamians and they got their cristel majic from gypsies who got it from Atlantis, who got it from the Picts, or something like that - I don't really remember what I wrote 10 years ago. By the way are you female?'

'Oh yes, yes I am' I screamed 'how may I solve all my problems??'

'Well come and see me, and most importantly of all buy my books, buy lots of my books. You see the earth is going to be split by big volcanoes and America will become 2, and I need the money to buy lots of Camelots'

I shuddered and the mysterious Celtic faced faded into the mysterious Celtic mysts. I now know that all my problems will be solved by buying Crystal Balls and obeying Rhuddlwm. He must be an expert because he has two books about Wales, he can count up to six in Welsh and he was thinking of going to Ireland on holiday. How can people doubt that he is not the greatest Celtic magician since Merlin????
