My Favorite Book about Divination,
By A Customer
This review is from: Celtic Divination: Witchcraft, Dowsing and Ley Lines (Paperback)
This is THE book you will want to read if you ever want to find something you've lost. I have found several personal items as well as win twenty two races at the dog track with this book. I did lose two big ones, but the wins are more than the loses. (I quit gambling while I was ahead.) It has helped me identify a serious illness in my spouses body, and it has helped me understand how divining works. Great Book. Go to http://www.tylwythteg.com and look up thier books.

I found a missing diamond ring using this book.,

This review is from: Celtic Divination: Witchcraft, Dowsing and Ley Lines (Paperback)
I was a fluffy bunny pagan. I loved to go to festivals and parties and circles and drink a lot of wine and smoke pot and did everything I probably shouldn't. I was visiting the festival near Kansas City about four years ago and lost my diamond ring. I was sick at heart for over three years. then I found a copy of this book. I went back to the festival grounds (it is being used for something else now) and dowsed for three hours. I found a ruby heart locket, a mans signet ring, a gold watch and no diamond ring. So I went back the next day, performed the meditation ritual turned around three times and then dowsed in an area I could have sworn I had not been near. Fifteen minutes later I was standing over a small mound where trash had been dumped. I used the apple limb which I had made into a staff and began scratching away at the mound. All of a sudden I could tell there was something stuck to the end of my staff. I brought the end up to my eye level and there on the end of the staff was my ring, with the point of the staff stuck in the circle of the ring. I could not believe it. Thank you author whoever you are!

What is all the disturbance about?,

This review is from: Celtic Divination: Witchcraft, Dowsing and Ley Lines (Hardcover)
I didn't want to buy it, then I refused to read it for awhile, now my friends are asking me to review it. As far as I can determine, this is a complete description of Welsh Witchcraft divination and Religion. I live in Wales. I am Welsh. I speak Welsh. I have learned a great deal of Welsh History. I am proud and protective of my Welsh Heritage. This book has only added to my knowledge. It is astounding how close this religious philosophy is to what I was taught by relatives. No,I am not a Christian, but then who is these days? Either we are agnostics, athiests, protestants or pagans. There isn't anything else. That's what is so curious about these negative reviews I've seen for This book. They seem to be reviews but they are really just personal attacks on the author. If you are Welsh and want to find out what else is available besides accepted history, please read this book. It costs more than two of your average useless wiccan books. But, it is real!!! I will read it again and again and again because when I read it my spirit is aroused. This book opens something in my spiritual self that makes me closer to the Gods. I believe you will be affected as profoundly as I have been. Blessed be!

Welsh Divination Not Celtic,
By A Customer
This review is from: Celtic Divination: Witchcraft, Dowsing and Ley Lines (Paperback)
This is an excellent book on Divination, but considering the fact it has been out of print for almost twenty years, those who are criticizing it have obviously never read it.I am a Welsh Witch but not a member of the Dynion Mwyn. I am a third degree, 71 years old and was initiated by an initiate of pat crowther many many years ago. I have studied quietly these many years and watched the Pagan community grow and fragment. But one thing I don't think I can tolerate, is the trashing and bashing of a Witch by those who are not, but pretend they are. I met Rhuddlwm Gawr many years ago. I saw in him a true spirit of The Craft, not the money hungry pretenders of todays flash in the pan wicca. Gerald wanted us to band together and fight for our religion, not bash someone because its the latest thing to do or because we disagree with him. I have read all of Rhuddlwm's books over the years and have found them to be genus. Not that Rhuddlwm is a genus, but he was inspired by the Muse if anyone ever was. When I met him, he was a quiet unassuming writer who I am sure is saddened by the rubbish these welsh pretenders are heaping on him. In his early days I am sure he made mistakes in judgement, as we all have done, but in all my questioning of those I am familiar with who have trashed him, I have never gotten one concrete accusation from them. Ergo, a lot of wannabees will follow the leader like lemmings when it comes to "lets see who can say the worst about the victim." If you are really interested in the dynion mwyn tradition, go to [their website] there are several links to their books. All of that said, I believe that this would be a great beginning book for those just starting out in the study of Divination in Witchcraft. I also believe that Rhuddlwm's books aren't for someone who is trying to learn about Divination by themselves. I think anyone who studies Divination needs a teacher as this book clearly states. It does lack definitions for some terms that a beginning dowser would not know without an explanation. But, I do think that this could be the first book that could be read by someone interested in dowsing and Welsh Witchcraft. Although it covers a wide range of subjects, it does so with plain speak and not complicated jargon. The book is aimed towards someone who may have no familiarity with dowsing or Witchcraft. I also believe that this would be great as a book for someone who has a teacher or has little experience. BUT, in general, I believe this is a wonderful book. I hope that all people interested in Divination, Dowsing or Welsh Witchcraft, would consider this book. And remember, always criticize authors politely and with constructive criticism, not "this is a terrible terrible book!" and please at least read a book before you review it. Shows ignorance upon ignorance. Hugely recommended.

Divination with a twist,
By "manatoudianne" (Houston, TX) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Celtic Divination: Witchcraft, Dowsing and Ley Lines (Paperback)
I have carried this book around with me for several years. I have also inquired whether there is a good used copy around. When i first read this book I was a catholic and felt it was of the Devil. Seven years later, I know it is of the Goddess. I use the techniques that are in this book to dowse for oil (I am a geologist) and have brought in seven wells with the help of Crystal Divination. I have used tarot techniques to do readings for myself and others. They have been very accurate. Please let me know when a reprint or revised publishing is available.

This book has been given one of the highest ratings of all books on Dowsing and Divination by the Society of Dowsers in UK and The American Scociety of Dowsers in the US. It has excellent reviews. Yet Amazon picks the nastiest reviews to place in their spotlight reviews. Obvious the persons giving the reviews have never read the book. I have. I am fortunate in having read both versions of the book the 1981 printing and the revision. They are both very accurate and have great techniques. The new version has been updated with new content. Excellent book on Dowsing and Divination.

I Almost Lost This Wonderful Book,
By A Customer
This review is from: Celtic Divination: Witchcraft, Dowsing and Ley Lines (Paperback)
This book is about a Celtic system of Divining and Dowsing using Welsh Witchraft. Dynion Mwyn. It is a controversial technique. And it is being attacked by the Politically Correct Welsh Nationalist extremists who hate the author for showing that Welsh Pagans actually exist and do not have a Christian belief system. The Pagans who make their money teaching rubbish as knowledge hate also them. Dynion Mwyn does not charge for initiation. They don't require students to do anything they have a problem with. There is a great deal of Welsh pagan divining material in this book as well as other traditions and philosophies. It contains a great deal of material that is similar to NROOGD teachings which originated in California. One of the authors of this book, Taliesin enion Vawr was initiated into the New Reformed Order of the Golden Dawn as well as into Gardnerian and Alexandrian traditions. I believe he was contemporary with and claimed to know Robert Cochrane, who worked with Doreen Valiente. The authors use a great technique of teaching you enough so that when you actually enter into training as a seeker of the Welsh tradition, you will have learned the basic techniques of Dowsing and Divining. All in all I would say that this book would give you a tremendous education into the techniques and philosophy of Dowsing and Divining using crystals, apple branches, bones, and other techniques. I visited one of the two groups in Cardiff Wales that practice Dynion Mwyn last month and I assure you, they are practicing The Ancient art of dowsing as described in this book, PLUS much much more. If you are looking for a book which describes Divining and Dowsing as practiced by Welsh Pagans, you have found it. Linda Prior

A very special book on Divination.,
By "rhuddlwm" (Kennesaw, GA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Celtic Divination: Witchcraft, Dowsing and Ley Lines (Hardcover)
As the author of this book, I can tell you I often refer to it, in my attempts at divination. It has helped me accomplish some amazing things in information gathering. There is a section on mineral, oil, stone, and water divination using the ancient Welsh method. I have looked at other specialized divination books and found them wanting, then I remember why I wrote it.
