Thrilled with the purchase. Truly a relevant and concise gathering of Jacobs' fairy tales. The only criticism I have is in regard to the book cover. It is rather bland and banal but the work within is truly great. A great buy for the money!

Also recommended by Jacobs "English Fairy Tales". This 1892 collection is marvelous and enhanced by the lovely 19th century illusrations by John D. Batten. Joseph Jacobs includes source information in the back of the book for each tale.
