A definite statement of modern CELTIC ROCK.,

This review is from: Celtic Folk Festival (Audio CD)
Every single aspect of this recording is truly amazing: the sound quality, the configuration of superb artists from all over the 'Celtic world', the sheer power of the music. To me, the album is THE definite statement of Celtic folk in the 70s/80s.

A Magical Listening Experience,

This is not your generic Danny Boy by 101 Strings. It real Irish traditional tunes by recognized performers (Clannad, Silly Wizard, Kornog, Dan Ar Bras, Battlefield Band, Tannahill Weavers, Andy Irvine, Sonerian Du).
Some are in gaelic, others sound like pub performances complete with applause, but all are a joy to hear for any celtic music fan. Some show the Irish flair for narrative and all have that lilt that makes celtic music such a joy. |
