Celtic passage,
This review is from: Celtic Passage (Audio CD)
With St. Paddy's day coming up, I have been putting together a St. Patrick's day mix for my ipod. I came across CELTIC PASSAGE by Deirdre Ni Chinneide at my library the other day and I decided to check it out. As a fan of celtic and new age music, I was easily soothed by the melodies and the gentle, warm vocals of Deidre Ni Chinneide. Up until now, I had never heard of Deidre Ni Chinneide. Deidre reminded me of a bit of Loreena McKennitt and Enya. Her voice has both that whispery sounds of Enya and at times the powerful, warm voice of Loreena McKennitt. As for the songs themselves, they are pretty new to me. It was nice not to hear the same old Celtic songs that has been rehashed over and over again. CELTIC PASSAGE is a must hear for fans of celtic and new age music. I found the cd very soothing and relaxing to listen to.

Any devotees of Enya and Loreena Mckennitt will be delighted by Celtic Passage. Wonderful vocals and gentle, flowing music, though not quite with the passion the other singers display. Still, well worth getting.
