I just bought this as a Christmas present for my 11 yr old daughter. She has an American Girl doll and we just happened upon this dress when searching for some different clothes. I bought this on a Thursday night and received it Monday afternoon!! We bought 3 outfits and it was only $8.95 to ship all of them plus an extra pair of shoes. I had to make sure the dress would fit the doll since it's for Christmas. It fit PERFECTLY! The little details are amazing, the stitching is spectacular!! You will not be disappointed at all. It even came with an adorable durable plastic hanger. I will be looking at purchasing some more outfits through Carpatina. I couldn't believe how perfectly this transaction went!! Thumbs WAY UP!!

When I was trying with difficulty to decide which of three beautiful "American Girl" dolls to purchase, it was a chance sighting of this beautiful dress featured on Amazon that helped me to choose. I actually chose the doll because of the dress rather than the other way around.

The dress was hard to get on, until I worked out the best way to do it. But, although the material is light, it is beautiful and looks absolutely stunning. The workmanship seems very good and I love the fact that press duds rather than velcro are used - far less bulky and more unobtrusive, and ironically, easier to manage as there's nothing to keep catching on itself or anything else while trying to put the garment on.

The whole outfit is everything I hoped it would be when I made my choice - I will be going back for more Carpatina outfits for sure - they are beautiful, imaginative and well worth the expense.

Purchased this for my daughter's 18" doll (an American Girl knock-off doll). Very high quality dress, and very easy for her to dress the doll herself. Came with very nice "extras" - the belt and shoes.

My daughter absolutely loves this outfit. She has an American Girl Doll and I try to get a new outfit for "her" every Christmas. I was not thrilled about the American Girl Holiday Dresses this past Christmas so I looked elsewhere. Emma is interested in the Irish Folklore and Irish traditions so when I saw this dress, I knew it had to come to my house. She is thrilled to death with her Celtic Princess! Thanks, Amazon, for helping me to make a girl's dream come true!!!

The dress arrived quite quickly, which I was very happy about. However, that is where my satisfaction with this purchase ended. The fabric of the dress is very thin. In addition, the embellishments were not added correctly. The neck "embroidery" was extremely crooked; not something that could have just been overlooked. I was very excited about buying this dress because I thought this would make a lovely addition to my daughters' doll clothing collection. However, the poor construction of the dress led to me returning the dress almost as soon as I took it from its package.

I gave this to my granddaughter on her 8th birthday. She was thrilled and the other little 8-year-old girls at her party were saying Ooh and Aah because they all have American Girl dolls. The workmanship looked good to me, and the dress fit the doll. The shoes, however, were a tight fit, only coaxed on with the use of pliers! I did suggest that they could play Cinderella and see which doll could slip her foot into the golden shoes. I subtracted a star for the shoe problem, but the dress is lovely.
