I highly recommend this book for quilters of all skill levels. The instructions and illustrations are clear and easy to understand, the highlighted 'tips' are very helpful and I think even a novice could create most of these designs with ease. The full-color photos of the quilts are beautiful and inspirational to any quilter or lover of Celtic design.

5.0 out of 5 stars Celtic Quilts : A New Look for Ancient Designs, October 13, 2000
This review is from: Celtic Quilts: A New Look for Ancient Designs (That Patchwork Place) (Paperback)
This is a great book! I am impressed with Ms. Williams knowledge of the Celts and her quilt making. I like how different the projects can look by just a few changes in fabric (see pages 40,44, and 48). She also has lots of helpful quilting tips throughout the book!

5.0 out of 5 stars My first attempt pleased even myself!, November 16, 2005
This review is from: Celtic Quilts: A New Look for Ancient Designs (That Patchwork Place) (Paperback)
I am my own worst critic, but my first attempt produced a lovely little piece of Celtic quilting that I am proud of. There are many great tips scattered throughout the book, including basic machine quilting tips that help take the intimidation factor out of the process.

I am now in the process of planning another larger project and can't wait to get started!
