Product Description

Celtic Sea Salt light grey Celtic is a doctor-recommended, completely unrefined kosher and hand-harvested authentic sea salt from the coastal region of France. It is dried by the sun and the wind, retaining the ocean’s moisture and locking in a vast array of vital trace minerals. Celtic Sea Salt light grey Celtic is a coarse, moist salt that gets a light grey hue from the pure clay soil it is harvested from. There is no comparison, in taste or in health effects, between mineral-rich Celtic Sea Salt and chemically-treated iodized salts. Celtic Sea Salt light grey Celtic has a rustic old-world flavor that is more assertive than other salts. Try using it in cooking, for soups and stews, grilling, or grind it with a mortar and pestle or salt grinder. Our Celtic Sea Salt is certified nature et progress, the highest level of certification allowed in France. Celtic Sea Salt products never contain anti-caking agents, bleaching agents, or additives of any kind. Celtic Sea Salt products are highly recommended by many health professionals and culinary chefs, and it is no surprise why. With a natural balance of minerals and trace elements, Celtic Sea Salt products are a beneficial addition to most diets. As a natural salt, Celtic Sea Salt products are an important source of natural sodium chloride, which is vital for good health in small amounts. Unlike ordinary table salts, Celtic Sea Salt products provide potassium, magnesium and other important trace minerals. Celtic Sea Salt products impart a rich, exceptional flavor that enhances the taste of any dish. Use as a replacement for ordinary table salt in cooking, baking, or to season dishes before serving. In order to preserve optimal freshness and taste, we recommend storing Celtic Sea Salt products in a glass, wooden or ceramic container with a loose fitting lid. Celtic Sea Salt products are harvested in a way that preserves the delicate balance of ocean minerals. We hope you enjoy our wonderful salts.

For better salt taste and a healthier alternative, use this salt.

It's not refined or processed or bleached so it retains all the healthy trace minerals nature provides, and it's an excellent source of iodine.

I bought a Kyocera Ceramic Fine Mill grinder and it works perfectly w/ the "dry" salt, as it wasn't working too well when it was moist.

This is the best price I have seen for Selina Naturally Celtic Sea Salt. One taste of this salt and you will never buy the over-processed, chemically-tasting table salt again. It brings out the natural flavor of foods without tasting "salty". I love that it provides trace minerals missing from our modern, "civilized" diets. I go to a lot of trouble providing wholesome, fresh, healthy meals for my family. I'd hate to ruin them with inferior ingredients like grocery store, iodized salt. I did a lot of research on different types of salt and was torn between the pink Himalayan salt and the gray Celtic Sea salt. I think either would probably be ok but felt this salt held a slight edge as it tends to be less expensive.

Helpful Notes: This salt arrives in a large, sealed plastic bag. It is rather moist, but that is no problem. I prefer to buy the coarse ground purely because of the price. I use this salt in three ways: in a sea salt grinder for the table, finer ground for baking, and naturally coarse for cooking. For the grinder, I highly recommend the Kyocera Ceramic Fine Mill, White Top, which I also purchased from Amazon. It handles this moist, course salt beautifully and never clogs or rusts, even in the humid South. No need for drying, just fill up the grinder with salt straight from the bag. For baking, I lay out some salt on a baking sheet to dry a bit, then grind it in a spice grinder. I then store it in a small glass jar. For general cooking, I like to use a salt cellar that I keep next to the stove. I just grab a pinch or spoonful as I need it. It dries out naturally a bit as it sits. I store the remaining salt in a large glass jar and take out what I need when I need it.

This is wonderful salt!! It is filled with more minerals than any other salt on the market. The taste is quite strong, so less salt is needed in cooking. If you use a salt grinder for this, remember that this is a wet salt, and it may get a bit stuck or clogged up in many salt grinders. I recommend getting one that is good with wet salts. :)

Your body NEEDS Cholesterol AND PLENTY of Salt, despite what "doctors" may tell you. My cholesterol levels were okay before I took the "chance" on eating soft boiled eggs (which was prescribed by Dr. Joel Wallach from Youngevity as well as the Vital 90 product line that I take daily from Youngevity; YES it's a "plug" but I don't care, as these are the BEST ABSORBABLE VITAMINS & MINERALS ON THE MARKET). Well, I eat 6 large soft boiled eggs a day (which by the way is the best way to eat the egg as the egg yolk is STILL in it's liquid form, which assimilates in your body faster). Hard boiled eggs don't digest in your system as well. In any case, I retook my blood tests two months later and my cholesterol was even BETTER than before. Even the doctor that took my blood said that, and asked me what I did and I told him. Needless to say he was shocked. I even told him that I put plenty of Celtic Sea Salt on all my soft boiled eggs. He said that I should be "careful" as that is not normal.

Of course it's not normal, as it goes against everything that he was "taught" (basically TOLD) by whatever medical school he went to. Really it's the Pharmacological industry that passes on this type of GARBAGE to these schools and enforces them as part of their curriculum. Unfortunately your body doesn't get the proper cholesterol levels that it needs and then you have to be put on "statin" cholesterol drug that don't cure the problem (only masks the real issues), and then you're on a "maintenance program" paying these Pharmacological thieves that eventually worsens your health condition and then kills you. But I didn't know that until I did my own research (which is something that all of us should be doing anyway).

In the beginning, I honestly didn't trust guys like Dr. Joel Wallach, Dr.

I was aware of the salt because my friend really did extensive research before me and of course I had eaten it in her foods. It is now a staple in my pantry - especially great for making cultured veggies and in soups. GOOD STUFF!

What a tasty and different treat this salt is! I have been using it for about a year now and it is the only salt I use for grilling and cooking. This salt is much stronger than normal salt so you have to take care at first not to overdo things.

When used in grilling, I use it as part of my rubs. The course grains slowly dissolve as the meat or vegetables are cooking, giving the dish a dice even salt spread. It works so much better. I use to use only Kosher salt for these rubs but have more or less replaced the Kosher with this product.

I do not serve it on the table as it will indeed muck up a salt grinder. The few times I have used it, I have ground it up in a ceramic mortar bowel and severe it in small salt cellars.

This is a good product and I am glad I started using the stuff. As far as I can tell, this is a pretty good price it is being offered at here.

This is a very good sea salt, I have been purchasing this product for a few years. It contains many good trace minerals. You need a ceramic salt grinder for this product. I have found it is too moist for even the ceramic grinder, I put it on a sheet pan and put it in the oven on a low setting to dry it out some, then it works great.
