5***** "An EXCELLENT beginning to what is sure to become a best selling series. Celtic Storms wonderfully and seamlessly crosses the genres of romance, historical fiction and paranormal adventure. I can't wait for the next one!" ~ C. Chase

5***** "Celtic Storms by Delaney Rhodes is the first book in the series and it does what any good start to a series does...it leaves you wanting more." ~ M. Hardy

Darina O'Malley watched the sun set in the bay from the great tower in O'Malley castle - saying a silent prayer for her cousin Kyra and hoping the message that was delivered to the MacCahan's did not spell sudden doom for her and her people. Needs an editor! February 5, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I am reading this and have found many grammatical errors. "Waste" for "waist", "he" instead of "him", etc. Also, in the scene where Darina bursts in on Kyra in the bathtub, it says, 'I'll let you get dressed, then we will talk, Kyra,' and with that Kyra left." Darina is the one who left.

I haven't finished the book and am not sure if I will. I cannot stand this type of error when I read. Am I too picky? I don't think so. I think the majority of readers are that picky. I am interested in the story, but this distracts from it so much.

Update: Waste for waist, bare for bear... Please get a new editor. :)

Storms in the Celtic April 5, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Please be aware that the following review is my personal opinion. This is not a paid review. To form your own opinion please support the author and acquire your own legal copy of the book.

This book is not my normal reading but I was interested in reading this book after I read the blurb.

Yes, I saw all of the negative comments about this book but I still felt like it deserved a chance. It seemed that someone needed to give this book a positive review and I felt that I could do that. No matter what all books will have, some type of grammar or spelling error no book is perfect. No Matter how many time sit is edited. Why? Because everyone is, human and humans make mistakes whether it is an author or an editor. Maybe it is me but I can and will over look most grammar/spelling errors. Why you ask? It is because that is just part of reading. To me the errors make the book more human, more real, and more lifelike.

Now for my review. I honestly loved this book. I did not want to put this book down. I was draw to the characters Darina & Patrick. This book had some amazing research completed by the author. I will admit that I do not know a lot about Irish folklore but this book had a lot in it. To me that is what made this book so interesting, so hard to put down.

The book starts out in the year 1457 at McCahan Castle with Patrick working at a blacksmith. Patrick is the eldest son of the Laird. Patrick is called away from his work for an important message. It is a message that he does not want nor does he understand.

Darina knows about the message that Patrick is going to get from his father, but it is a message that she does not want herself. She cannot understand why her father has done this to her or why she has to do this

This is more than just a love story. It is a story that will connect the reader through time. This story has well-developed characters, an amazing plot and is well written with no grammar or editing errors that I found or noticed.

I felt drawn to Patrick and Darina. I wanted to keep reading to find out what happens next. This is the first book of the Celtic Steel series. If the title for the series is, appropriate.

While reading this book I felt pulled back to the 14th century. Drawn to the amazing characters especially Darina. She is a strong female character. I cannot wait to read the second book in this series.

The bunnies and I give this book 4-Carrots.

Good story, abrupt ending March 22, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I loved this story! But the ending left me wanting more! (I suppose I'll have to read the next book?).

Patrick and Darina are thrown together in an arranged marriage to unite their clans, and neither is too happy about it at first. They don't have too long to get to know each other, though, before they each discover there is treachery and betrayal at work behind the scenes - they must learn to depend on each other to find out what is happening and why.

A quick read, and a fun highland-type romance (set in Ireland, but still).
