Let's get this out of the way right now: This album, Celtic Thunder's first (and long overdue) Christmas outing is, in my opinion, great. A far cry from "boring" or "uninspired" if you ask me. Some here have trashed it because of the lack of "traditional" Christmas songs, or what have you. In response to that, I say "so what?" If traditional Christmas music is what you seek, there are plenty of Christmas albums out there which feature it. Bing Crosby, Harry Connick, Jr., Nat King Cole, Elvis Presley, the list goes on.

Furthermore, it isn't supposed to be a "Celtic" music album. The album is called Christmas for a reason. I have a feeling that some folks won't be satisfied until CT releases an album chock full of nothing but Celtic music. (Which, for those who may not know, is coming in the spring of next year. It is titled Heritage.) But for those of us who love the fact that the guys aren't a one-trick pony, if you will, this album (not to mention the previously released It's Entertainment) is fantastic. For those who want all Celtic music all the time, Celtic Woman is always out there.

On to the actual songs: I understand the frustration of those who don't care for "Christmas 1915" being included here, since it was already on the Act Two CD. It is, however, a Christmas song and personally I don't think it fit too well with the other non-Christmas material on Act Two. But it is what it is, I suppose. The rest of the material on here is top-notch Celtic Thunder and shows how far the guys have come along vocally. Now 18-year old Damian's voice has truly gotten deeper over the years, and his cover of "Winter Wonderland" really shines.

I've been playing this CD constantly since I got it in the mail a couple days ago. The songs are so well done by the lads. I especially love Keith's versions of Last Christmas and All I Want for Christmas is you. He now owns those songs, but then, he is a wonderfully talented singer. I just love his voice and the emotional way he sings the lyrics. Also I want to say that I love George singing Going Home for Christmas. You can tell that Phil Coulter wrote this song especially for George. It fits him so well as does the other song he sings I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day. The ensemble pieces are also terrific. The arrangement and sound of CT's version of Silent Night is outstanding. I will be going to their concert at the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City and I can't wait to hear the Christmas half of the show! Also eagerly anticipating the DVD and PBS versions. Long may the thunder roll!!!

You don't have to be a Celtic Thunder Fan to enjoy this CD. The harmony is amazing and each individual singer has there own solo which is equally wonderful..Listening to it will make you happy!!!

This is a wonderful show. It showcases the talent of these guys...all of whom have their own unique abilities. If you watch the DVD...which, I also, highly recommend...you will truly understand the appeal they have to a wide audience.

The entire production is inventive and well produced. Yes, these guys are Irish...and they bring that flavor to all of their music...but, they go far beyond that...in this CD...as in all of their others.

Interesting to note, is of course Damian Mcginty...who at only 18 has an amazing voice and an an extremely professional entertainer. George is also an amazing talent...as are Keith and Ryan. As you can tell I am a REAL fan! Sorry to note, Paul Byrom is leaving Celtic Thunder...Great to note...Neil Byrne, guitarist and singer ("It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas")...seems to be moving into a more prominent place.

It is nice to see great talent...and great production...back in a Christmas album. More about the music than anything else...PS...the entire string section is female! You will enjoy this.

Celtic Thunder doesn't disappoint with their beautiful and amazing mixture of sounds and this Christmas album is no exception.

From the soothing sounds of "Silent Night" (I think this is my favorite version of all time), to the tear-jerker "Christmas 1915," to the upbeat sounds of "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day" this is most certainly a musical delight that you don't want to miss.

This is dark-chocolate good, if you know what I mean!

I absolutely loved this CD! I ordered it through QVC when they had their Rose of Tralee song, and I must say that it took my breath away! I have been a fan of Celtic Thunder from the beginning, so I am perhaps a little biased, but I also absolutely love Christmas music. Tears were brought to my eyes in several of the songs, especially Silent Night and Our First Christmas Together.

On Celtic Thunder Christmas, you can hear some of the classics(Silent Night, Winter Wonderland, etc) but also some newer classics(Baby, It's Cold Outside) as well as some Phil Coulter originals(Our First Christmas Together and Christmas Morning Donegal). I was definitely not disappointed by this CD. I believe it is noteworthy to include that on Baby, It's Cold Outside, is a duet with Ryan and a woman whose name I do not know.

If you are a fan of Celtic Thunder and Christmas music, this CD is a must have!

CT Christmas album!
I ordered QVC's special, but I also kept the regular Christmas album to give as a gift. You can never give away to many Celtic Thunder CDs. Paul and his song "Christmas Morning Donegal" is the only reason I bought the QVC version.
