Purchased for Panasonic DVX100B MiniDV cam when we lost the one it came with. I had to actually break off the little tab that attaches the string and it's not exactly like the original cap but it works. I pinch the two tabs and give it a little "rocking" motion while pushing inward toward the lens. It's hard to describe... I'm making it sound like a bigger deal than what it is... it works, but I just have to make sure it's clicked in there...
