5.0 out of 5 stars Freedom comes from within!, October 4, 2001
Dr. Kushel has written a classic. This book is a very practical handbook on how to achieve life-satisfaction. It begins with the assumption that we cannot control others [people or things], but we can have a major amount of control over how we perceive and evaluate those forces. Dr. Kushel writes in a highly readable and clear style. He peppers his writing with many illustrations from real life and pertinent stories. This is a book that holds the potential to be truly life-changing and life-enhancing. It is easy to apply to everyday situations and relationships.

The processes and principles so clearly elucidated and taught in this book are truly life-changing. Dr. Kushel summarizes some of the most basic principles of psychology and personal growth in an interesting and exciting fashion. One cannot come away from reading this book without realizing that we have so much more control over our life and the way we perceive our problems and the world. In turn, we are presented with tools to enable us to do something about our life--to truly learn to center our lives.
