5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome
I can't believe this thing holds more information than my Xbox 360's hard drive. The USB connection was a little more fragile than I anticipated, as well as being hard to pull out. Don't let that scare you away though, I have had zero problems with it. I'm just used to seeing USB plugs always surrounded by the little metal box with the contacts inside. The Data Stick's...

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't Put Anything Important On It!
I bought this to replace a Corsair Survivor USB drive that was too small. I liked the idea of having something I could carry around in my upper shirt pocket so I tried this Centon 32GB Credit Card drive.

Beware. These things are very flimsy and non-damage tolerant. I was very careful with my unit and gingerly connected the USB plug when I used it. It lasted...

This review is from: Centon DSC32GB-001 32GB 2 USB Credit Card Flash Drive (Silver) (Personal Computers)

It lasted only a week. Since I was using it to back up my old USB drive that never missed a beat I am very disappointed in this flimsy POS.

I tried to revive the drive by cleaning the USB contacts with rubbing alcohol and even took it apart to troubleshoot the small ribbon cable attachment. All to no avail. On that note if you saw this thing taken apart you would not be very confident in it's protection from the elements.

I would discourage anybody from buying this device. If you go ahead an do buy it be prepared for some big "I told you so"s.

Don't let that scare you away though, I have had zero problems with it. I'm just used to seeing USB plugs always surrounded by the little metal box with the contacts inside. The Data Stick's contacts are directly on the other side of the metal piece that slides out. I've got a PDA, an iGo stowaway keyboard, and two of these bad boys. I can fit them all into one coat pocket. Not bad for something that has more memory than my home computer. Oh, and yeah, these will fit in your wallet. I don't keep them there though, because I sit on my wallet. It probobly wouldn't hurt them, but I'm not one to take chances.

Many things have changed, but some haven't. My Xbox 360 now has a bigger hard drive. My Centon Flash Drive remains the same. About a year ago I broke down and started keeping one in my wallet. As you know, I sit on my wallet. Yeah, I'm still using it. It raises eyebrows wherever I go. I know that since I got mine there have been massive jumps in storage technology, but for size and convenience, this thing is still my constant companion and used on a daily basis.

5.0 out of 5 stars I have the PQI version of the same drive... it is great!, April 2, 2009

Bottom line is that this is the best credit card form factor flash drive on the market right now. I am careful with the pull out USB connector, as it doesnt look like it can take a lot of abuse, but I have been using this for about 3 months now without 1 problem. Highly recommended for those who want a flash drive in their wallet (which is always with me), and don't want to hang one from their keychain!
